I was trying to get creative last night and tripod my SLR into the eyepiece of the telescope. Didn't work out too well... moon moved too fast. Got a good shot of the Sea of Tranquility, tho!

Very nice pic! Hoping she's taking in extra high quality so that we ATSers can zoom WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY in and see all of the aliens!

S&F for you. That picture is amazing.

I got to see a little bit of the Supermoon but my viewpoint wasn't the best.

Thank you for posting that.

Nice pic, good find, OP.

Moon is so bright where I am that I just drove home from work with no headlights on.

A bit dangerous? Sure. Awesome? Oh yeah.

I have some footage of the "supermoon" from my telescope sitting on VHS tape (laptop was out of commission and unavailable for video capturing). How's that for desperate? Hopefully I can get around to digitizing the tape soon and then stacking up a picture from it. I caught at least one bird flying in front of the "supermoon."
