So if the Quake shifted the earths axis 4 inches, does that effect the magnetic field lines?

I know that as the earth spins the magnetic shield around the earth that protects us from solar winds and radiation is maintained by a stable rotation. Now that the rotation is changed, does that mean the magnetic field is going to need to stabilize again?

Considering that 1.8 Millionths of a second is not much at all. I'm going to hazard to guess, that any change would not be noticeable to you or I or anyone else that doesn't have the equipment they use to detect such things.

*Oh, and the magnetic field has more to do with the inside of the Earth spinning rather than the outside. Just thought I'd point that out.
