I dont get it at all. Egypt has won on getting the president to resign, which is great, but arent they screwed either way? I mean all the protesting has cost their economy a crap load. Not to mention they are already super poor unless there government starts to give out money to everyone and then they just have huge inflation. And what about the person stepping in an continuing the same crap. And on top of this what happens when they open the stock market back up?

So my thoughts are the generation thats there now is completely screwed either way. Stocks will plummet once the market is open, those that are invested will become alot poorer and also might effect stocks on a global scale. Thry have been surviving on subsidies which will have to continue meaning their government still has them enslaved. And economically they have no money. Anyone want to share their thoughts would be great thanks.

If only the very tippy top was banking on the economy anyhow, then no worries. only the super elite will suffer initially...the poor will remain poor so that doesn't change, but over time, the situation will possibly change now verses status quo forever.

If they structure it right anyhow. Lets hope some fanatics don't try to grab for power.

They are less screwed this way.

You can and should forget economy, if it is your freedom at stake. Many Egyptians say that they feel alive for the first time since decades. Caring only about econonmy and finances is a perfect drug in U.S. and Europe too. You people shouldnt fear about it, but THEY should.
Feeling alive, hmmm, breath and forget the goddamn green paper.

One of the biggest traps of all is trying to preserve yourself. Americans are the most trapped of all. Stocks, 401k, IRA's, etc... So trapped they wouldn't look for freedom if Stalin himself crawled out of the grave and became a tea party candidate and won presidential election. Just give em wide-screen TV's and air conditioning. Yeah, Egyptians, please don't focus on the money. Your heart will never be just or free that way.

Also, if they were to recover the riches that were allegedly, and most likely, amassed by the previous ruling class of the nation they could put that to work to offset some of these losses and rebuild the nation.
