There's a rumour that King Abdullah died from a heart attack after a heated phone conversation with Obama. A source close to the King claims that he's alive and that it's a false rumour.

Saudia Arabia's King Abdullah passed away

Obama and the King got into a heated debate about their opinions of what Hosni Mubarak should do. After the phone call sources stated that King Abdullah was furious and then suffered a sudden heart attack.

Saudi Arabia denies rumors of king's death as oil prices rise

Saudi Arabian King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz is alive, a source close to the monarch said on Thursday denying reports of his death.

If he turns out to be dead, the story about him suffering a heart attack after speaking to Obama, might be fabricated. Or maybe it happened that way? Or maybe he is alive? Anyway, the oil price went up just because of this rumour. It shouldn't be too hard to prove that he's alive, if he's alive, unless he is hiding somewhere. As far as I can tell, there's no evidence of him being neither alive nor dead.

So which of the 1,500 "crown princes" gets their shot at the big chair? Or do the Arabian people see their chance to toss the whole Saudi family back into the Gulf?

LOL!

...there's no evidence of him being neither alive nor dead.

Like Schrodinger's Cat.

Couldn't resist.....(You have to open the box, to be certain....)....

Well, a prediction. IF it turns out that a heart attack occurred shortly after the Obama phone conversation...there will inevitably be those who will attempt to postulate some sort of top secret mind control/heart-attack-inducing device that can target victims via the phone lines!!!

The King has been having health problems, in fact, wasn't he just in the US for quite some time having various tests done?

It makes sense that if he were to die, no one would be told.

The Middle East is erupting into Revolution.

Saudi Arabia is soon to fall as well.
Especially with the death of their King.

interesting, especially because Saudi Prince Turki bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud warned the royal family in june last year to leave the country before "the people" cut off their heads in the street. Now dead or alive after having an argument with Obama.

Didn't the Saudi's support Mubarak last couple of weeks?

It is an intresting revolution oin that region, some things are "different".

If he is dead, what changes would come of this politically?
If this is affecting oil prices then isn't that an indicator to changes that would come if he indeed was dead??

The rise of oil is dependent on manufacturing output. At the initial stages, speculators are fully free to gamble on the rise, as this casino scam had been ongoing for decades.

But once there is far too much stocks, somethings gotta gave, and suckers whom had been led to believe or manipulated to play the scam will be the suckers of another con game.

Look at the manufacturing needs today, with many jobless and what are they exactly producing that will be a profit? None! Play the casino by all means, but the last man standing will be a fool for life.

Yes i see a proverbial # storm taking root in that area as you have Tunisia, Egypt, and if the king is dead, sheesh, going to get very interesting really soon! No wonder there was a post by an op stating that the freemasons had best be ready, as was the case of Hilary Clinton-Embassies as of recently.

Owe man, is this enlightened power that has possesed and ran the world for the last 2000 years going to have its day in court

Who do we believe? I am of the mindset that in the coming weeks something big is going to happen and we should be watching the comings and goings of the worlds' elite. So, is he really dead, or is he "dead" and safely tucked away in some fortified bunker?

If true, this will really add to the shaking of the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is not only the seat of Middle East oil, it is also the center of Arab power and influence. They are a bulwark to other regional autocrats, largely because they are the least tolerant and most ruthless, arguably. Being the dominat voice in the world of oil, this reverberates throughout OPEC, etc. and other states may now vie for more control within that organization, Iran in particular.

Had this happened 1 year ago, it would be far less consequential most probably than right now, at this pivotal point in history. In the midst of the Egyptian crisis, Saudis and others might literally see this as destiny and that may be enough to send them to the streets.

The other and big problem is that there are so many princes as noted earlier that this wobbles the power structure and that filters down through every post and office and business in Saudi Arabia, since the extended royal family runs everything. This will be fascinating.

found some additional info:

They claim he is in extraordinary health. And provide little info on the argument between Obama and Abdullah

I'm not sure about the copyright part here so I just provide the link:

Saudi minister says King in 'excellent health'

Naaaah ... poor king Abdullah probably got so frustrated trying to explain the international situation to Obama long distance over the phone that Abdullah probably popped. Abdullah is a smart guy. Obama .. not so much.

But there WAS ONE .. wasn't there? I'm sure.

Seriously .. if the king did die, then I'm sure they'd keep it quiet for a while,
due to the serious situation in that part of the world right now and what was
going on tonight with Mubarek leaving/not leaving.

Yes, he was in the U.S. for treatment, and oddly enough he didn't return to Saudi Arabia when he left here but instead went to Morocco. Maybe what was going on in Egypt had something to do with that...just a guess. Apparently, soon after the Egyptian uprising started, the Moroccan royalty put their military on standby and left for their chateau in France.
