Another illogical doom flick with obvious environmentalist subtones.
A low intensity gamma ray burst would only produce an EMP on the side of the planet facing the source. What about the other side?
If it is a high intensity burst, then the electronics not working will be the least of the worries for the people on the illuminated side of the
planet. They will all be dead.
Where is the interaction with the outside world. The fist “interaction” is long after the fact and to a limited group of people (bad people).
Where is all the technically competent people that can dig deeper into the broken systems? To totally give up on all modern equipment without giving
it a good once over is totally illogical. A once over is not just hitting the power button and cussing about the fact that the thing won’t turn on.
It is actually taking the unit apart and trying to figure out what is wrong with it.
Beyond all the EMP hype that the movie creators have bought into, there is a whole list of other holes in their plot.
All the holes in the plot are cause by them trying to twist the movie into an environmentalist wet dream.
All in all, it is just another move to brainwash us into believing the environmentalist mantra that all technology is BAD!!!!
