I can't stand that scum any more than you, however what's your point. I already said that I don't agree with what the US does. I just stated that I will not root for Iran just because they said they will report the UK. Lets just say Iran doesn't have a leg to stand on when it comes to human rights. Period.

Jesus, who said you should root for Iran??

Jesus, who said Iran has a leg to stand on when it comes to Human Rights?

Do you even read what you post, or are finger bashing the key board

why do they not have a leg to stand on?

either human right abuses are wrong or they are not. if iran reports the U.K. for human rights and there is a case and it is rejected soely because there are different rules for different countries, then iran will see this as justifaction to do the same in their country, after all the u.k. can, or whoever else can.

however if the complaint is taken seriously and investigated, it is highlighting the fact that all human rights abuses are wrong, and therefore by extension any in iran are not tolerated either or justified.

Firstly, my name is not Jesus, but thanks for the praise.

Secondly, who said anything about the US before you jumped in with your incarceration stats?

I simply tried to make my original point clear so that YOU don't get confused about what my thoughts were on the subject.

I don't agree with what the US does either. But I can't stand the short-sightedness of some who indirectly support the murderous regime of Iran because of their hate for US and UK.

Case in point...the OP.

Well the US has an ex President who actually made money writing a book that literally BRAGGED about TORTURE..
What more needs to be said????

What does GW have to do with what I said?

Let me make this simple, because your thoughts seems to be extremely complicated:

Your thoughts:

1. You don't root Iran.
2. You don't believe Iran has a good Human Rights record.
3. The Human Rights issue UK is facing has to be examined and investigated.

Am I vodooing your thoughts correctly?

Tell me if any of the three is incorrect please/

No one disagrees with you, so why are you arguing

It is better to make your points a little simpler for people to understand.

Lets do what we can to make Iran happy , lets -

1) stone the protesters to death, dont kettle them in.
2 )If the protesters are gay, hang them from a crane.
3) If the protesters are women, especially in trousers and make up, 60 lashes of the whip, and then stone them.

Im sure that then, Tehran would call the UK brother.

If the UK and US didn't have voters to worry about they wouldn't be much better..

Are you suggesting we should criticize Iran, but no one should criticize the West? Because that would bad, very bad thing to do?/? Because you know, we wouldn't want US or UK to nuke the world now, or invade 2 more countries for the heck of it, or maybe they should come and try to invade NZ, hopefully you are one of the soldiers, see what happens mate.

Heard of this big AZZ word?

Oh F it.

Do you have any point?

I would appreciate it if you post a point, or some substance in your post.

Insults are easy to throw, trust me, I know first hand, been there, done that.

So once again, what is your point?

edit on 15-12-2010 by oozyism because: (no reason given)

My point is, that Iran, who has a long history of human right's abuse, should'nt go around pointing the finger when it lives with a barbaric legal system that allows lapidation, whipping, hanging, tit for tat sentencing etc etc.

I think you should read a few more threads.
There's no insult here. Just fact's.
It's really laughable when a country that hangs "suspected" gay's from crane's causes an outcry about human right's abuses by the UK.
GAY'S SHOULD BE TORTURED AND HANGED SAY'S IRANIAN MINISTER

People who live in glass houses should'nt throw stones !! (or scream human right's abuses either)

Wait, wait a second, let's wait a second because you are moving a long too fast here.

Are you suggesting UK is allowed to point finger at Iran, but Iran is not allowed to point finger at UK?

Have you seen this big AZZ word before:

I can already read his mind, this is what he will probably say, or along the same lines:

"but Iran hangs gay people", "but Iran stones women", "but Iran kills people".

Do you think he will answer your question?

If the world wishes to criticise the UK for its actions, all well and good when it is deserved.
But let those who criticise be whiter than white. We all live by double standards.
How can a country that imposes death by lapidation criticise anyone.

Somehow i dont think Iran fits the criteria.
Where there human right's abuses, the world should know and act.
But considering that Iran is one of the world's worst, it should really drop the "holier than thou" atitude.

Probably none, but Iran is about the worse one. Maybe we should stop relying on corrupt governments to expose the corruption of others.

Can't argue with your second statement but the first I can...
Yes, Iran treats it's citizens badly in the eyes of the west..

But in the last 50 years it's the west that has KILLED millions for it's own aims..
Now THAT'S human rights abuse at it's worst IMO...
