This is seriously the dumbest idea I've ever heard.

Latrell is the man behind "Photos To Space,"a new company that is being launched that allows cosmically aware consumers to send digital photographs of themselves and loved ones 70 miles into the atmosphere -- about 8 miles more than is considered space by scientists.

AOLNews

Why would anyone want to send a photo into space this way?

the total flight will last about 15 minutes total including a four-minute ascent.

I can see if they were going to stay up there or be blasted away into deep space but a 19 minute flight.
I'd rather spend the money to send my underwear up into space. . .

So the pictures just crosses into space and back?

No floating, no hopes of an E.T grabbing it?

For $4.95 I think i'll pass
