Its unclear if somebody did that ... North Korea ?????

first though that came into my mind was
the south korean president told that next attack
they will retaliate with full force

tension could get much higher if somebody start saying
IT WAS NORTH KOREA

and then its over ... USA will get involved with SK and China will come in to protect NK
and they wont hesitate to protect their proxy

rest of the story:

At least four people have been killed and 18 are missing after a South Korean deep-sea trawler with 42 crew members on board sank off Antarctica, maritime authorities have said.

"The vessel is believed to have gone down at 6.30am, about 1,000 nautical miles north of McMurdo [Antarctic base]," Ross Henderson, spokesman for Maritime New Zealand, told the AFP news agency on Monday.

"We have 20 alive, four deceased and 18 missing."

Henderson said all vessels in the remote area had been asked to steam to the site where the 614-tonne Number One Insung went down to assist the search for survivors.

A Royal New Zealand Air Force Orion plane was also being sent to the area, he said.

Henderson added that New Zealand authorities received no distress call before the ship sank, and he did not know how the survivors were rescued.

Details 'unclear'

"Whether it's in lifeboats, whether they've been picked up by other vessels is unclear," he said.

"Details are very scant at this stage."

A coastguard spokesman in the southern South Korean port of Busan, where the ship is based, said that there were eight Koreans, eight Chinese, 11 Indonesians, 11 Vietnamese, three Filipinos and one Russian on board.

Another South Korean fishing boat was involved in the rescue after reporting the accident to its home port, the spokesman said, and it also asked for help from New Zealand.

With Chinese and Russian nationals on the boat it's very unlikely to be an attack by North Korea.

Yes, because those North Koreans are so war-crazy that out of all the SK ships they can sink, they target a fishing trawler in the Antarctic. Get real

Bit early to blame NK..
And it's a fishing boat, why would they attack it so far from home??

No way they attack a boat with Russian and Chinese nationals on it, without Russia and China, NK has zero, they can launch their two nukes and watch hellfire engulf their country (at least it will be quick for them).

then it will remain unclear who really did this

.. accident ???? very doubtfull
this sound very similar to what happened to the south korean sub
we still question it

South Korea lost many since this sub attack
if they dont act .. the opposition in SK will want to replace the president

A bit of "fair dinkum" fear mongering here, jumped the gun. No mention of NK! At least wait until there a few sources that back you up! Too many o ATS are fantasising about big war & conflict!

Why is an accident doubtful?

It was a Korean fishing boat off Antarctica...

Sinking on accident is likely.

North Korea has no means to sink a fishing boat near the Antarctica. It's an accident. Accidents happen. Sad, but true.

the news was just released ... usualy it take time before the accusation come in
Hillary clinton is still sleeping
she will go eat her breakfast first and then she will put her make up and lie on TV that it was NK

but the question is .. who could benefit in this attack ? not NK for sure

Even considering our highly controlled and mandated media, which may or may not play the angle that NK were, might, maybe involved in this, don't be so quick to jump to conclusions. It's a boat in one of the most remote regions in the world...there are hundreds of possibilities, one of which is NK involvement.

Why................ would North Korea attack a FISHING VESSEL off the coast of ANTARCTICA? NOT TO MENTION, FAIL TO EVEN KILL MORE THAN HALF THE CREW.

Seriously guys... really digging here aren't we...?

i know MANY that would use this perfect accident and turn it on NK to get the big war
im pretty sure they will not let this accident go without exploiting some interests
dont underestimate this little thing

but 4 dead and 18 missing .. looks like a torpedo attack that would do this kind of effect
what do you think ?

I think there is a much higher probability that they hit a chunk of ice and a few dozen went flying overboard, or a engine blew, or somebody set a spark near some fuel reserves, etc etc.

The idea that NK were involved hits our minds immediately because of the recent proclaimed escalation in Korea, it doesn't make it factual or even probable, only relevant based on recent news and talk.

Perhaps there will be information released soon in the wikileaks cables about North Koreas territorial ambitions in Antartica.

I find it interesting that they do not know how the survivors were rescued...and that no distress signal was sent...I don't think it was the NK's....but something seems fishy (no pun intended).

If it was NK trying to play school yard bully, all of TPTB around the world would most certianly collaborate any ficticious tale to quench the tinder box that is the SK people.
