I gotta say I LOVE LOVE LOVE this genre.

Ambient music makes me think deeply and philosophically about life, or it just makes me let go of all things. To just be. I freakin LOVE ambient.

Anyway, I wanted to share an album that I've been listening to non-stop for the past 12 months.

Tim Hecker - An Imaginary Country.

There is just soooooooo many layers everytime you listen to it, something new comes out. It puts me in a very zen like trance, nothing matters when this is on ...its like I become FEARLESS!!!!

One of my favourite modern day ambient/electronic bands are Orbital, Brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll made some really teriffic music... this one is a bit drum and bassy. Saw them at Newcastle University many years ago, they were awesome. Funnily enough those famous geezers Gary Ablet and Mick Mills were there.... smiles all round

PEACE,
RK

I'm a musician with a number of CDs behind me, and I mainly play blackened thrash punk metal type of stuff, but today I was kinda thinking of trying something different, and I guess ambient is what it mainly is. Any comments are welcome.
