Agreed, there's no point harping on the initials for the group running anon, as claimed by the OP because the OP is based on a message board discussion regarding the cooperation being afforded the authorities in a kiddie porn investigation.

Of course there are members of anon on ATS. I know several. But you are misunderstanding what anon is... it's not a club or an organization. It's a loose affiliation. It's simply people with similar interests acting in unison.

In the same sense that ATS members are part of the greater world, anons ATS.

As far as I know to be a "member" of anon your soul qualification is to own a pc with a net connection, be able to download a file and then double click.

Then if they are good people they better stay anonymous.. Im afraid that things are being done in their/that name that are not anything a decent person would condone.

I feel what they did was illegal.. and wrong. Then again Paypal has a habit of holding funds they arent entitled to holding. A matter of time and it would have been released.. they should have exercised patience and not went the way of looking for attention... and remained anonymous. However, sometimes things arent as they seem on the surface. Id hate to see a decent liberty loving person caught up in things that they arent involved in fully. KWIM?? The opportunity seems to have presented itself so that things can be done by jerks and attributed to another "group". Been done before... will surely be done again. Ive come to like folks on ATS in general.. even those that bash me. We all have a common reason for coming here. I just hate to lose any of our numbers to BS.

Sure US normal people like a good conspiracy...who don't?
But when ATS became the ANON breeding ground..And by the just a few threads i posted show's this goes deeper than you think if you add it up and use your head's.

Saying "they" in reference to Anon is a difficult thing to put into context. Imagine that you live in, say, Los Angeles, and there is a riot there. You are a citizen of L.A., you actively participate in things that happen in L.A., but you don't agree with the reasons for the riot, so you do not participate.

Now, imagine that I come along and say "Well, Hell, you're an Angelino, so you must be guilty regarding the riot." It would not be applicable, accurate, or justifiable.

Such is Anon.

Saying that all Anons are culpable is like saying that we, as ATS members, are personally responsible for each and every post and thread on ATS. The fact is that we all have our own individual opinions, ideas, and subjects that we participate in. ATS is not a universal for us... It is simply a common board where we congregate - in agreement or otherwise.

In the paypal thread you will notice that I stated my opinions about this Anon op. I disagree heartily with it.

Dear, we are ALL already on a list somewhere.. and there are criminals everywhere. Just dont invite anyone over to your house and swap slobber and youll be fine. This brand of ILLEGAL activity having criminal type.. well call me a hypocrite...... but I can understand it. I dont condone it.. but understand it. I sincerely like the person themselves.. even though I may not like this one thing. Im not judging someone over this one.. this time.

We are ALL so frustrated over the things that are done in our faces now.. they arent even trying to cover things up anymore. That or we have woken up and see it more clearly. We ALL have our individual methods to deal with things.. maybe this is the anon folks way. SInce there was no real harm done.. maybe some delays or whatever.. and the operation was not actually as successful as some suggested it would be... Im calling this one a victimless crime. I hate to break it to you but the very first time you came to this site your name was put on a blacklist! and then when you registered as a member your name moved from that blacklist to another blacklist.

It only stands to reason that members of Anon would join ATS as well. some publicly admit they are members of Anon and some don't it's their choice. And its not like the mods of ATS can do anything about it anyways. What do you expect them to do ban anyone that is suspected or admits they are Anon?

If that was the case every member of ATS would be banned because in short we all are Anon whether you want to admit it or not in some way.

yeah.. well I was fooled. I thought it was a kids movie. Then when they started screaming I was having too much fun to turn it off. Nahh not really. I let the older ones watch it with me. LOL! Every time I see your avatar I remind myself to watch it again. Actually a pretty awesome movie.
