Study Finds Most Money is Contaminated with Toxic Chemical!

www.mynorthwest. com

A study released Tuesday by the Washington Toxics Coalition found "significant levels" of the chemical BPA on dollar bills and retail receipts.

Bisphenol-A, or BPA, has been linked to cancer, diabetes, infertility, and obesity, said Erika Schreder, a staff scientist with the Seattle-based group.

Thermal receipt printers, the type used by many retail stores, use BPA to develop the ink. From these receipts, the study found, the chemical can transfer easily to skin and other objects, including the cash in your wallet.

It's kind of ironic when you think of the famous quote : "money is the root of all evil."

A recent study shows that most money is contaminated from a toxic chemical from thermal receipt printers!

I'd want to read the actual study, if this is supported from other studies, then this a real bomb shell.

Imagine the lawsuit, imagine people using latex glove, or people refusing a receipt at all.

yes, this is true ... but why do you think more ppl are doing their own canning these days? you speak as though we've known about its presence and risks forever. not sure about you but the first i read about it was in the Consumer Reports, 'bout this time, last year. www.consumerreports.org...
however, this does not bode well for anyone, anywhere, except maybe the glove makers.

Maybe that is why the Mob started money laundering? Guess they were on to something

Don't be silly
"money laundering" means if you accidentally wash a dollar bill with your cloths
you have to re wash the cloths
because they will be contaminated too....

This is why we had to bail out the banks...
something about naked shorts....
Anyway, the emporer's cloths were contaminated
and we had to buy him some new duds.
only cost trillions...

I wonder if con(job)gress washes their hair in the same water as the bankers wash their clothes?

Paper money grosses me out and always has. Strip joints come to mind. *shiver* People pay for fast food with cash that may have been stuck god knows where and then eat without washing their hands. ICK. Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. I like to think that others are mindful of such things also, but I've been out to lunch with enough people to know that most don't even give it a thought. Soap is your friend. I'm more scared of that kind of junk than BPA.

"Filthy" rich makes sense.
