Now i am certainly not suggesting any people here on ATS take part in these illegal activties. That would be against T+C
However as predicted it looks like we are seeing the start of the first infowar.
4chan is fighting back for the freedom of the internet and this is a force to be reckoned with. It is not a bunch of kids these people really kick

Yes, that would be them... or us....

They need to proofread their articles- I'm pretty sure they meant "defines" but they printed "defies" which completely changes the meaning of what they are trying to say...

i too do not condone illegal activity
but if a group decides to take matters into their own hands

Sadly, 4Chan has child pornography posted there and I refuse to go to that site period. It's disgusting.

There is free-speech then there is criminal exploitation of children and 4chan is rampant with it.

Maybe I was linked to the random, what ever the case, what I saw has kept me from ever going back, horrible first impressions that will forever scar me and make me deeply angry. Not saying the site endorses it, or the people who post there are pedo's but maybe it's improved I don't know. I'm just not inclined to go back ever.

Oh, yeah it's not a "good" place. You are warped for life. But, it is moderated and CP gets you banned. I was on /k/ the other day and was following the drug war that has been going on in Brazil. The Brazilian police in Rio de Janero hace been raiding the slums and eliminating the drug lords. Got to watch it live thanks to the Portuguese speaking anons. So, while the internet is a scary place, there is a lot of good that comes out of it.

If indeed anon is launching an attack, they are certainly a force to be reckomed with I totally agree. I am definitely interested to see where this is going to go..but on the downside it could give governents more of an excuse to try to clamp down on the internet....

Maybe I went to another site with a similar domain name? I don't know. However, I clearly saw child porn on the site and that was enough for me. Maybe this is another site and I am just misinformed. I've obviously had a bad experience that is lasting and associated with the name "4Chan". Mind you it was a few years ago and things could have changed.

I just googled 4chan and child porn and I'm not alone in this observation:

Clearly there is a group abusing that site for their sick interests. Maybe it's better now?

What a minute is 12chan down? Am I going to the right place whats the scoop here I get redirected to reddit? What gives? If they average 13 milion hits a day, then how is that only 5.6 million a month? or are you making up numbers?
