Bet you wouldn't be saying the same thing if you had met the youth here in my city.
Most girls here in my city are inspired to become WAGS (wives and girlfriends of high-profile football players) or to become pregnant at an early age as they then do not have to work at all.
The young men don't have any ambition just want to go out and get drunk/drugged and don't seem to have any goals in life. This is obviously not the case for all of them it just seems to me to be a large majority which is pretty disheartening and scary if you ask me.
What happened to wanting to become Doctors,Vets,Nurses,Fireman etc.To help people and help to make the world we live in a better place?

Makes you wonder, if the previous generations were so damn great, how come they never brought any kind of revolution? What is your excuse?

Since when has an entire demographic ever stood up together? Never. It is only the intelligent, the awake, the brave who do something...not the entire population or in this case generation. We exist. We are organizing. We are trying....but never judge us for problems we had no part in creating.

Today's youngest generation has more potential than at any time in the written history of our civilization. I'm pretty sure they won't let their elders destroy their future.

It might be a sight to behold.

Those are stereotypes, which believe it or not, existed about EVERY generation...
Let me guess, nobody ever called hippies lazy or druggies....

Hell, you people are alive, why don't YOU do something? Why do people seem to believe it is all on our shoulders...go ahead and criticize, but know you can't be taken seriously if YOU are not doing something NOW.

I am.

most of the kids i'm talking about arent a bunch of spoiled rotten snot nosed kids, these children came from meager families that had to scratch everything from life. they completely understand about humility and watch the world through clear eyes.
not everybody's children thinks or acts this way, hell even the gang members children are getting it and are focusing on improving their circumstances.

they are communicating and getting the message across

That was the most naive OP I've ever seen. This generation is a bunch of self-hating pussies they can't get over their own anxieties and insecurities to even rally into any identifiable cause or direction. Their music sucks, their culture sucks, and they're being raised to be self-entitled uneducated victims with retarded notions of one day being rock stars or famous yet they have no idea how to reach or work for it. I have absolutely no hope for this generation.

And what exactly did the hippies accomplish? Aside from kick ass music and drugs, they really did nothing except settle for the beginnings of the system we're seeing now once the drugs wore off and sex was no longer free.

In every generation, there has always been young people who "get it". And it has always been a small percentage. So that is how we are controlled. As long as only a few understand, nothing will change. The internet is an optomistic tool to help spread awareness, and should be incorporated into school - instead of science books that haven't been updated in decades, and history books so convoluted one would be too jaded to re-learn almost entirely everything they were taught. This is a real problem, and it always has been.

well for all you children haters, why don't you get off your lazy asses and make sure these kids know whats up, instead of putting them down. it seems as if you truly are the problem in the ways that you speak of them,..its truly disturbing to hear this.
I personally have spent my life inspiring the young and old through whatever means necessary, instead of just talking shhhhhhhht and will continue to do so until the message has become application.

I suggest you do the same

What gives you the right to slam our generation? Especially with false information....

"And they're being raised to be self-entitled uneducated victims with retarded notions of one day being rock stars or famous yet they have no idea how to reach or work for it. I have absolutely no hope for this generation."

Really? Who is being raised this way? For ever privileged kid like this there are 100 growing up in poverty...
And again...WHO RAISED THEM?! YOU GUYS DID!

Are you currently organizing anything to help our current situation? That YOU created? I AM!

How can one get off CREATING the huge mess we are in, and then criticizing us for not fixing it?! Then to bitch about how we were raised, when YOU raised us.

Our generation was handed a big steaming pile of crap, because you people in the previous generations cared only about yourselves, and built up a huge debt USING us as collateral.

We still have time to prove ourselves....and it is assuring to know that we can't possibly mess up to the degree previous generations did.

You say we will fail, YOU DID FAIL.

"Revolution" " is a dangerous word( not just a t-shirt slogan).alot like"progress"; Progress means different things to different people(You know like the whole "hopey and changey" thing).
No one is guaranteed a "revolution" once begun.will go their way. if you let go of the head of the alligator allowing it to flop freely it might just bite you in the butt.

Remember back during the Vietnam Era when the hippies made a statement, that the Establishment must change?

Yup, remember it well. I was one of them.

it was the new beginning of the freedom revolution, but as time moved along things just stagnated and the message became lost, because the economy, wars, fashion, freedoms, psychology had all changed, and the times had changed.

Well, yes and no. The so-called 'revolution' was never quite the homogeneous movement that many like to recall. In truth, there were as many objectives as there were factions. For some, it was Vietnam. For others, it was about politics and furthering various versions of Marxism and the more generic socialist doctrine. And for others, it was all about getting stoned or selling the drugs that got you that way.

But once the draft was stopped, Vietnam ended and Nixon resigned, a lot of the reasons for being simply ceased to exist. It was like a George W. Bush moment... everyone celebrated a 'mission accomplished' even though nothing had really changed. There was no leadership that survived that had enough in common with all the various sectors so everyone went their separate ways pretty quickly.

I find it refreshing and inspiring in this new world order that's being forced down our throats, that our children will lead the battle to the new freedom revolution. they are smarter than all generation before them, and are equipped with state of the art communication weapons and are globally connected to each other, with the same goals and concerns.

*sigh*

Yeah, well... I don't know about all that 'smarter than any other generation' stuff but then again... I am no longer young enough to know everything.

And let's not forget that the infrastructure that allows all your glorious technology to interconnect all these youthful geniuses, is controlled by the same establishment that you would rail against. The NWO is not some old rich guy sitting in a fat chair at a table with 10 or 20 other old rich guys. It is a global movement by those who hold the light switch to existence. That's why they have been so far successful in spoon feeding us there nightmare vision of the world.

If you want to win this war and crown your generation as heroes, you need to know who your enemy is first and then... don't mistake a battle or two won, as the entire war.

In fact, you will probably be explaining this very same thing to others when you are running up on age 60... and the war still ain't won.

These children that you speak of know more about Dancing with the Stars and Justin Bieber than they do about their Constitutional rights. Ask these children that you speak of who the Vice President of the United States is......Thank you!

I find it refreshing and inspiring in this new world order that's being forced down our throats, that our children will lead the battle to the new freedom revolution. they are smarter than all generation before them, and are equipped with state of the art communication weapons and are globally connected to each other, with the same goals and concerns.
i was afraid that the media and the government suppressors had them so utterly brainwashed into believing they couldn't stand up and fight, that all was lost. because the rest of us were caught in a stalemate with our survival and personal obligations, not including the threats to us at every angle about national security issues, if we stood up to the plate to take the establishment on.

our children are organizing, and the powers that be better take notice and change their way of thinking because our kids have got a message for them they aren't gonna be able to control or stop.

it makes me proud

I'm sorry but you are absolutely wrong, our children are not organizing.
I am among them and I can tell you right now that all of them are brainwashed beyond repair, maybe the children are smarter in your area but over here in New York the children look up to people like this :

Because I know and watch you. Watch MTV, listen to any of your popular music, look at your fashion, your generation is listless, stupid and easily led. You are what you were made and you were screwed from birth, no one is denying that. However there's no hope with your generation. It's just going to be brainless drones who'll carry a rifle in a third world hellhole or the ones transferring calls to Indian call centers for single digits an hour. You won't rise up because you don't know how and because you've been taught to direct your energy inward and towards retarded pursuits. And I have the right to slam your generation because I know it and I know what's coming from it, nothing.

All the people I know grew out of MTV at 15 like everyone else, and are in college educating ourselves.

You do know more of us are going to college than any previous generation right? and we are dumb...

What's your avatar right now and what does it represent about you? And you're still arguing with me? Oooh college, like that's the answer. There's thousands of college grads down at unemployment offices every day in these times. Not to mention college has largely become corrupted and you'll have no means to apply it in the work place. Also with the god awful education and skyrocketing price of higher education or hell even primary education these days, do you really what to hold up the "quality" of education your generation received as a positive? And that still doesn't speak to how listless, unmotivated, and ignorant your generation is. Which is why I bring up your avatar. Wow, advocating a cartoon character for politics. That's really going to change the world. I bet if a lot of you were really motivated, you'd even start a campaign to get him elected on facebook. And that's the depth of thought and motivation common of your generation.

I agree with the general idea that my generation, let alone the one behind us, are a bunch of spoiled, self-absorbed, stubborn whiny-butts. And that is why I agree with the OP. Whether it's out of actual activism or simply being spoiled rotten little brats, I think that the OP is right.

I will have you know most of my friends, (the younger generation) are highly fixated on producing monetary free systems to ensure a healthy living standard for all.

But trust me, you older generations make it hell.
