I just told my wife, and she just said "Who is that" now I don't condone wife beating, but I'm kinda annoyed right now.

He really was a true icon of entertainment.
One of his very early roles was in the classic SCI-Fi movie, "Forbidden Planet"
He never really stopped working. Quite a loss.

Take a look at his resume on IMDB

Wow...(that she didn't know who he was)...

My wife told me this morning, about his death...and I said, "Surely, you're kidding"...and without missing a beat, she said, "No, really....and don't call me Shirley"...
I love my wife.

Sitting in a theater in 1956 watching Forbidden Planet..... Thanks Leslie!

May you RIP

Why, why has no one done a remake of that film? With todays film tech it would be a sci fi film
blockbuster!

I have enjoyed so many of his movies, I regret that there will be no more.

I still have the picture in my mind of OJ Simpson bouncing down, end over end, in a wheel-chair into the LA Coliseum(I think?).

RIP, Frank Drebin.

The Naked Gun scene with the statue penis on the outside of the building is one of the all-time greats:
