I never watch the news for various reason, and for the most part anything worth being reported on I get alerted by my twitter stream. But for some reason this clip came to me from a rare source and it looks pretty serious. I can’t figure out why it’s not more in the forefront of the news?
I was hoping some readers from over there could enlighten me what exactly is going on over there. I checked out Marketwatch and CNNFN and they seemed more concerned about publishing shopping news regarding Black Friday.

Seems Indeed That The Revolution Will Not Be Televised:

Thats something PTB have afraid of. They are few, we are many.

At least, i found one link about this:

People upset that their socialist utopia is an utter failure?

What's to report?

That they might actually have to work 40 hours a week?
Retire at (gasp) 62 years of age?
Give up a couple of their umpteen weeks of paid vacation?
That they might have to pay a little more for their education?

Really? What's to report?

this was the student protest against cuts to education, it was shown all day on sky news live, in the u.k.
it was the usual reporting just focusing on all the negatives about the protesters from what i saw of it.

It's good to see rallies against TPTB, but we need to focus our attacks. Riots due to higher tuition rates are not going to do any good. It just proves to them more and more that they are correct and that we can not control ourselves. Lashing out for smaller disputes is futile! We need to go for their jugular!!!! Boycott the banks and big business. Stop going to movies. Stop watching their TV shows. Stop supporting sports. Stop supporting their infrastructure. STOP SUPPORTING THEM!!!!! It's the only way we can affect things. Stop being feeder fish!!! Stop being their cattle!

Great post,S+F.
This demonstrates something else also,
It shows that WE as Americans have
no spine whatsoever, we have become
worthy of Judgement. We let TPTB walk all
over us with-out even a whimper !
It's a fact !

What on earth are you talking about. These are students protesting against the rise in college fees. These kids are the future of the british economy yet higher education is becoming less accessible to the ordinary person, im a single mum, my daughter got excellent grades at A level, but even with the course fees as they are it will be a struggle for me to send her to university. There no excuse for violence, but there are strong feelings about this matter.

As always. To PTB protests are always negative.

This is to show how they fear a real revolution.

To be fair, as much as I hate the Tories, you don't actually have to pay any of the money up front. They loan it to you and then you end up paying it back for half of your working life.

I started university when there were still grants (The government just gave you the money to study) then it changed to loans in my final year and it took me a heck of a long time to pay them back.

I was the first person in my family ever to go to university but If the fees had been £9000 a year I probably wouldn't have bothered, starting your working life off in £36000 of debt is not a good situation to be in

What is a college to do if there are rising costs, or less government funding, they have got to raise fees. The only way this protest works is if enough students actually drop out of college, and the college realizes that it needs to lower fees to get the students back. If the students actually want to get their education, it would not hurt them one bit to actually get a job (or 2nd job) to help cover the extra cost.

Yeah but Dave, now she'll have even more money to pay back. Its not fair, shes bright as a button and im struggling with a part time job, and benefits to look after two children, shes talking about getting a job so that well have more money as a family, but i would love for her to continue studying because i did no better than 4 o levels, its a s""t situation.

So the news in UK report this protest as a good thing?

I dont think so. If you support this type of manipulate news, you will have even more to regret in the future.

You said violence are not necessary, but they rape us in a much worse way. A violence that few realize. The rape of the human conscience for centuries.

hey Dave
the Canadian gov is sending me to college for a year...on their dime
I have noticed the academics may be expecting too much, and that everyone else should pay for it...
and what are they producing..?
..............................................................
I think the violence mnay be caused by poeple that are their to discredit the protestors
that has PROVEN to be the case in amny other places
in Canada we caught them red handed and the cops had to admit it
dressed as protestors starting the violence

I'm all for protesting against stuff, but what really gives me the friggin arse is when people start breaking stuff randomly like a bunch of spoilt brats throwing their teddies out of the cot!
Really... what the hell is the point of smashing a bus shelter, or a police van?

"RARARA WE'RE ANGRY. WE'RE GONNA BREAK STUFF!" like a bunch of chimptards.

If they had a valid point, it went out the window when they started that stuff.
There are a million ways to (b)uck the system & make a point without breaking stuff & IMO, these people are just agent provocateurs & deserve a good kicking from the TSG or any other acronym on scene.

What criteria should be used to dictate working hours and retirement age? Do you know anyone that really believes that working is what life is all about?

So we work 1/3 of our life until we are 65, soon to be closer to 70, so that we can finally get ahead enough to retire and live off of Social Security......only to die of a heart attack two months after retiring!
I refuse to be a part of that absolutely grim outlook! I am a free man born to this Earth to live and to spend all the time I can with my friends and family.

I am usually not so blunt with my words, but you my friends have your head up your backside. I work to live, not live to work!

Edit to add: The OP had nothing to do with this subject, but I had to respond.
