Sayings that Resonate with you.

There have been a couple sayings I have heard throughout my life that have really struck a chord with me.

Here are some of them:

"We'll play it by ear."
I heard this one since I was a kid. It is just such a cool little phrase. It's funny how it doesn't really make sense, yet it does.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Another favorite of mine. True in more than one way.


I know I have a bunch of other faves, I can't think of them at the moment. So in the meantime, please share some of yours that you resonate with.

Mine's fairly simple, but it strikes me to my very core and being everytime I hear it..

Playing it by ear is a musical term. If you don't have the written sheet music in front of you then you are playing it by ear.
