I often hear from people this is still the freest country in the world (Amerika) however there is not much you can do without some kind of government permit license, fee/extortion and coercions directly or indirectly. So I thought it might be good to make a list of anything you can still do without it if there is still such a thing.

So lets hear it. And you might be surprised at what you think is still free but is actually not.

Edited to add:

So far we have everything from laugh to flying kites to thinking and passing gas wow what a country.

So let me rephrase it a bit. Name something you can do without government permission that you can't also do in Communist China?

I can enjoy the laughter of a child, I can kiss the man of my dreams and feel the butterflies in my stomach, I can feel the warmth of a hug from my grandmother and I can laugh until I cry...

I know this thread was intended to prove a point and will probably go negative very quickly as was the hope (probably) but I thought I'd make a point of my own...

Cheers

You have left yourself open to a great deal of ridicule for not having thought this out to well.

Here is a short list.

Laugh with a friend
Watching the Sun rise.
Viewing the Northern Lights
Listening the to wisdom of someone older
Walking in the rain
Complimenting someone
Having a debate with family
Experiencing pain and love (technically still free)

Oh yeah....stealing neighbors internet to download songs and movies at 2 am in the morning

Flying a kite at the public beach? Of course I would have to walk there to avoid driving a car, with all of it's gov regulation requirements.

Why open to ridicule? I said lets make a list of things you can do. Most of the things listed so far can be done in communist China also but no one thinks that is a free country. I expected the usual things like that listed. But many of them can be still be shown to indirectly need government permission of you dig down a little. Like having a debate with family unless you live in the woods with no electricity and hidden from society your likely going to be having that debate in a house you had to get permission to build and some of you family likely drove there in a vehicle they had to get permission to drive to the house and if you used the toilet you have to have a septic permit or sewer hookup permit before it could be used etc. etc.

I expect it will get around to the more direct stuff eventually.

Ok good one but... the kite would not be available to you without the paper or plastic it was made from by the company who got a permit to operate a business so they could make the product,

We need to put the Federal government back into the powers and size of the original intent of the constitution. It has too much power and has been given permission to violate our bill of rights. I have not lived everywhere else in the world to know if we are the most free. II know European countries and Canada are not freer than we are.

No I'm not..I'm in Australia and read about the Aussie twins that shot themselves at that shooting range..
One lived and the police were interviewed and said she would not be charged because she shot herself and that is NOT against the law..He did note that if each twin had of shot the other then it would be a crime..

...i can hop in the car and drive anywhere i want, just because i wanna...

Not without government permission for you and the car in the form of a license and registration

Alternative Energy
Shamanic Practices
Owning Land & Property
Taxable Health Care (MEANING EVERYONE GETS FIXED NO QUESTIONS ASKED)
NO MORE DRUG WAR!

^---- This is what the 21st Century SHOULD consist of. You introduce all of these into society and
the level of love will overrule all of this hatred caused by ARTIFICIAL SUPPRESSION.

I say; If the Government doesn't trust me with my own decisions and wants to spy on me
using my computers built in camera every once in a while, by all means go for it, just don't
talk me out of experiencing Earth the way we were meant to experience it in the eyes of God.

I don't believe ANYONE is here to hurt ANYONE. Love and Peace is all thats needed to participate.
