Apparently UAE security officials detected an explosive device on a Yemen to Dubai plane, so they issued alerts for all flights having left Dubai prior to being able to conduct more scrutinizing security procedures that were still in-flight. One such flight was UAE/EK #210 OMDB-KJFK. The flight's path can be tracked at UAE201.

This was only a precautionary procedure taken by both the UAE and the US...although it's yet another incident showing how eager everyone is to take military action against Yemen, a country of 23 million people that has an estimated terrorist population of 40 (not thousand, but count 'em, forty!). The U.S. has been itching for any excuse to invade Yemen for the past 9 years and counting.

Pres Obama just anounced "credible threat" involved in this situation.

I hope they can nip it in the bud.

So, for all you potential terrorists out there....take note.

Don't waste your money on bombs and guns and high risk operations.

Instead, go to a local toner recycle bin, grab up a bunch of junk. Next, find a bunch of junk computer parts. Package it together, and just for giggles rub some Miracle grow on the box, or store it in the garage next to the gasoline can for a week or two.

Then, ship a few dozen of these boxes all over the world, sit back and laugh-laugh-laugh as you will have disrupted the entire worlds travel mechanism! You will have separated families, caused delays in business deals, and cost the airlines and the governments millions of dollars. On top of that they will instill newer and more intrusive air travel restrictions and less people will fly.

What a great days work for less than $100 and with little to no effort or risk!!

Terrorism for the 21st century!

Can anyone tell me what the hell two fighter planes could do if there was actually a bomb on the plane, apart from watch as it explodes?
I can't think of a single action they could take that would help with this situation at all
