Karma rating in my profile

Have I just missed this before or has it been recently added? and what exactly is the karma rating here on ATS?

It appears as if that is probably correct- Karma does appear to be the number of threads you have started. It is new. I suspect that since it's not just called threads, it may end up being a little more than just that, and probably kinda cool.

New theory: Threads started are a major component of the formula for karma, and are the first to become evident for new members?

I appreciate the info everyone. Apparently my karma went up three points, so perhaps it has something to do with comments made on authored threads. I am sure the info will be forthcoming soon, I was just wondering if I had my karma filter on before and didnt see it. Once again thanks everyone.

It also seems to be counting the edits of original posts .

I dont recall starting two thousand threads!! LOL! Oh what is Karma? We will now have seventeen threads about Karma, tis the ats way. I will prolly post in all of them til Karma is explained. Good day!

Where can i see it? Maybe i'm overlooking it?

haha and apparently so is ATS karma. I also noticed that some member's WayATS number has now become a decimal, again i could have just missed this before, but its probably due to the addition of karma and the mathematical formula used to calculate it.

Is this good karma, or bad?

If it is bad, can I choose other members to give mine to?

Easy to say when you have a Karma of 17 trillion.

I give up, i'm going to stay here at basecamp 200.

It'll take me years to get anywhere.

i think its a combination of stars and flags...

Sometimes in the past new features have been announced in advance if I recall correctly, but it is not unusual for the announcement to come after the new feature is implemented and ready to be fully enjoyed. Or for all I know we will end up being challenged to figure it out for ourselves just for fun.

We'll just have to see.
