I feel the same way about votes.
They can be fudged and manipulated.

I have always doubted an outcome that was 49 to 51
That smells like a false finish to me.
I feel the population is too diverse in its opinions to be that split down the middle.

As for polls...I rarely find them credible with no bias intentions.

Exactly... especially when or once those "votes" are cast in the digital realm.

This survey right here being but a fine example ... with the "results" likely to show a near "even race" within the hour.

You are exactly right.
The problem is history might repeat itself and she might get elected simply because she is NOT Obama!

isnt the NYdailynews just a tabloid style news paper??

And you know who reads tabloids, right?

The same kinds of people who believe the planet is 6000 years old and that man walked with T-Rex...you know....Palin's people.

I really don't think that NYDN is a noteworthy source to refer to when looking for a consensus on how a wide variety of people feel about something.

If she runs, and she wins, than that's what the majority wanted. That's the way it's supposed to work, and it does.

You're being sarcastic, i hope?

2000 POTUS election results have Al Gore 500 votes in the lead...yet GWB still walked away with the victory.

The majority wanted Gore. Instead they got Curious George.

I'd rather vote to give Bush and Obama 8 more years each then cut my hands off before I would vote for Sarah Palin.

-She quit on the job as Governor of Alaska when the state was deeply in debt to sell her book and tour America.
-She is the dumbest politician by far. She needs to write a few words on her hand to remember important thoughts to gush on T.V. about.
www.taylormarsh.com...

Campaign Manager - "Common Sarah, you can do this.. just remember the three main talking points Energy, Tax Cuts, and the phrase 'Lift American Spirits.'"

Sarah - "What was they again yall? ENeRgy, bUdGet cUts, and Lift AmEriCans souls?"

Campaign Manager - "No, no no! What are budget cuts? Tax cuts Sarah, tax cuts! We'd never want to cut our off spending spree once we get elected you moose-brained, beaver-tailed MILF."

Sarah - *(Forehead-face palm/ink on the face)* "Tax cuts 8< for errverbody yall, buy me books!"

She would probably win if she put her name in the hat again.

I wouldn't vote for her. I'm from northern NY. According to Ed Koch it's the land of "gingham dresses and pick-up trucks." What they do and say in New York city, well, that's a land apart from the rest of the state.

This is Pathetic,

She needs to stay away from anything that would put her in a position to
make life changing decisions for the masses.

She is five cans short of a six pack, and the last can is half empty.

The worst part, is that she acts like she is saying something intelligent
when she opens her mouth,

Peace

It seems we're going to have some doozies to vote for - or not vote for in 2012. I will absolutely not vote for Palin or Obama, that much I am sure of.

Unfortunately, the majority vote elects the president and I'm not sure, if it's always been successful. I think we'll see Hillary Clinton run for the presidency. I'd never consider voting for Palin.

The title of the article is "Sarah Palin says if Iran gets a nuclear weapon, it could lead to Armageddon or World War III"

WHAT THE HELL ARE PEOPLE SMOKING!?

I wouldn't vote for her if she was the only candidate !!!
She's a mindless shill for the publicity arm of the republican reich just like beck, hannity, limbaugh, fox news, etc...
I can't believe anyone would vote for her!!! Whatever they're smoking, it's a dangerous, brain killing drug !
JUST SAY NO !!!

I am sarcastic much of the time...not, however, this time.

You do know, don't you, that the election isn't determined solely on the basis of popular vote? The electoral college determines the outcome.

Here's a brief overview of the pros and cons of this electoral system.

The electoral college.

Not saying it's perfect. But it worked exactly how it's supposed to work.

It must be the prescription pharmaceuticals that many American's take blindly because their doctor knows what is best for them.

I'm thinking the poll has been skewed somehow if it is even an actual poll.

Online Polls and their "results" are absolutely meaningless...

Ditto that.

Online sites get ahold of the poll and advertise it in discussion threads. Then the people at those sites, who many times engage in 'group think' mentality, bomb the poll and overwhelm it. I don't understand the thought behind doing this. It's strange. Example - Democratic Underground is famous for skewing polls.
