www.youtube.com...

This Video was posted earlier today and then removed because of the rapid and extremely hostile response the video had.

Original location: www.youtube.com...

They are now trying to hide it. So download and seed the video.

If you watch it you will get the idea.

They are using fear and violence in what is no more than MEDIA TERRORISM.

There were hundreds of comments in the first half hour or so all of which were hostile to the video. They have removed the video but other people are posting it to show the campaign.

Of course the comments have all been deleted.

Apply the technique that this video uses to almost any other emotionally charged question and the sick nature of the propaganda technique is laid bare.

I look forward to remixed of this video with different audio scripts.

Subtle, isn't it?

I'd imagine that the problem with the video being hosted is that it would probably require an "R" rating if it were shown theatrically.

The biggest shock to me, however, was that one of the kids was named "Jemimah".

How about htis being shown in schools as an education tool? Would you be happy with that?

The psychology is used is frightening. The visuals are what computer game playing kids of today see in their games. They FRAGG the enemy. Those that do not believe in the message are the enemy.

That's brilliantly twisted, macabre and demented in't it? Sort of the terrorist suicide bomber trope built-in. It comes off as utter satire at first. Somehow I'm still a bit incredulous that it isn't satire.

The reaction to this has been hostile to put it mildly. Which is why they removed it very quickly. It is the technique that is down right sickening in my book.

Take the question of Israelis building on Palastinian land. This is a VERY emotive subject that is in the news at the moment. If the question posed in this video was "Do you agree that they should be allowed to continue to build.." and those against were blown to bits... what would the reaction be? You can do this with many other questions, I just chose the Israeli one because it is very emotionally charged.

It is the propaganda technique that is sickening.

This video dehumanises anyone with the remotest shred of scepticism on the issue. It also normalises their exclusion, or violence towards them. This is going to be especially effective when show to kids who are literate to the visual language of computer games and fragging the enemy.

Hahahaha that's just silly. I watch movies and television, it would be hypocritical to get uptight over violence with a message.

It can be looked upon as such. There is something very sinister in this for me though. Young people are very sophisticated. This speaks to them on many levels such as the relevant computer game enemy metaphor. Communication agencies are very skilled and put a lot of work into the message they are delivering.

The teacher in the beginning of the video is beautiful and well educated. People Global Warming is not a hoax; it is very real and we need to stop it now!

Since when did propaganda become so utterly crass? It used to be exploitative of the complacency and uncriticality of the receiver so that he or she would be unaware that it was not their own beliefs. Even scare tactics were effected as a geological pressure-over-time phenomenon. Now it is merely explosive detonation attempting to shatter our psyches. Perhaps this is sent out as a feeler as to how far things can be taken-- a research project of sorts. The negative response strongly indicates this crossed some unknown invisible line.

They hint at consequences also

I am not saying that they are literally going to start killing... it is the dividing message which, as you have said, is very similar GW "you're either with us, or your'e with the terrorists" angle.

So... individuals backed by money/power seek to influence the public by creating an emotional based experience which relies on fear and violence to sway and submit to the "greater social good".

If you participate for the greater social good, you get to live.
If you do not, you die.

Is that also the message of Stalin, Mao and Hitler?

Beware of Socialists and Communists(who always start out as socialists).
Deep down, this is how they really think, and they use "the good of the greater society" to justify it.

Oh absolutely, I'm not denying that the image of a child exploding is taking the issue to the extreme to say the least. I just feel life is too short to dwell on something that I could turn around and call entertainment if it did not pertain to a serious matter.

Quite possible and I take your point. I was watching the posts as they came in on the original YouTube page and they were very hostile. Every posting was negative. Here is one from a few minutes ago:

By the way, I started watching this with my two ten year old boys, thinking it would be some harmless, fun video. They screamed when the first kids got blown up and ran out of the room absolutely petrified and wanting to vomit. Are you proud of that? Morons.

If they wanted to promote their beliefs then they have failed.

No, serious money went into this. That means someone with wealth and power thought this was a good idea and signed off on it.

Give that the serious consideration it is worthy of.

I agree to an extent. We have to contextualise this also. It is an educational/informational campaign that has been watched parents with children. The message has caused distress to them (according to what some people are already posting on the comments). They also have removed the original launch video and removed all of the comments. Some of those were VERY angry people.

If anyone looks at the very basics of NLP and understands just how powerful concepts are, this can be seen as a very big mistake by the makers of this video. It could be argued that such is the scale of the backlash that you could argue for sabotage. (I am not by the way
)

I agree with you on that 100%. Just look at the list of 'stars' that are backing this campaign and where it will be shown. I would not like this show to kids in school without the knowledge of parents?

Indeed. Children should never be handed fear as a learning tool, for that reason obviously a level of censorship is necessary.

Thanks for the complement. Just because I have views in life doesn't make me wrong or a fool for believing such. You probably believe the Soviet Union to be Communism. This isn't the first I was criticized for my avatar as well. I'm an Atheist and an Capitalist.
