CLAIM : " galileo was wrong " , the church was right - yeah right

apparently < sic > was wrong - and the geocentric solar sytsnem / universe claim is infact correct

the claimants have God on thier side , as well as as webiste :

thier views are " confirmed " by numerous " accademics " who SEEM to have " graduated " from some diploma mill as none of them appears in any useful google searches or are simply theologists towing the party line

you can even buy a book and attend a conference - oh the joy

unfortunatly - i cannot give you a synopsis of thier evidence - as you have to buy the book or attend the conference

but i have one simple question for any geocentrist :

show me your solar system model

the heliocentric claim can be shown with one simple diagram such as image link

and it also explains key obervations - the most important is retrograde motion , in short the fact that mars appears to be slow , stop and then apparently move backwards

heliocenticism clearly demostrates this by the orbital tracks and velocities

why cannot geocentrists allow us to see the key evidence of thier claim - ie the grapical representation of thier solar system model , without lining thier pokects by buying thier book , registering for thier conference ?

its amazing what people will claim to defend thier dogma

Perhaps I'm being an academic elitest, but the names of certain institutions in people's academic history always raises questions. If you're smart enough to challenge so much established science and knowledge, you're smart enough to earn a PhD instead of buying one from an unaccredited boiler room... err... "university".

You notice that this is the firstCatholic conference on geocentrism. The whole thing is just a plot to keep us laughing so hard we'll ignore (or forget) that they're a bunch of baby-raping pedophiles.

Notice they advertise it as being "near" Notre Dame. I'm surprised it isn't being held at Bellarmine College in Louisville, KY, named for Roberto Francesco Romolo Cardinal Bellarmino, who sentenced that heliocentric heretic Giordino Bruno to be burned at the stake and who served the famous injunction on Galileo. No, Bellarmine is now too liberal. It lets those yucky girls in, getting girl cooties all over the blessed doctrine.

So.....I guess they ignore scientific fact, use anecdotal evidence and twist to fit their preconcieved notions because.......
they are believers?

To be fair, I understand that the Church is NOT happy with the supposed association and has asked them to remove it. I don't know what they can do about it though.

I don't think that Notre Dame is happy being mentioned either.

yeah - i did notice its " catholic credentials " , but as RNNA so rightly points out this has zero official vatican support as despite the cathjolic churches many MANY faults , thier 21st century approach to astronomy is actually quite good - thier obervatories are [ for thier age on a par with other insitutions and they make a usefull contribution
