Your TOOLS section of the MemberCenter now contains an option to hide the display of member avatars and backgrounds. For those on slow connections and/or small screens, this will certainly improve performance.

I cannot tell you what difference that makes and how much I appreciate you making this feature available ... it has, at least for me, made a massive difference in the ease of browsing and content quantity per page.

The newsletter comes out weekly for the most part, sometimes longer then that, it mainly list hot and top threads and most active, it is very cool since I always see a thread to click on that I missed.

Restoring the option to show or hide mini-profile avatars and backgrounds was always going to be an option in ATS 2010, it just couldn't be added into the TOOLS section until the new thread pages were working properly.

I too am with Airspoon on this one. I used that all the time to see latest posts, now I have to sieve through recently active topics to find the new threads. Most disappointing. I'm already spending less time on ATS, because it's frustrating me.

The new/hot topics at the right side of screen does not have any bg-fill.

Win7 64bit / chrome

edit: sometimes it does have semi-transparent, sometimes it does not.

edit2 answer to post beneath: I have more transparency (all text is somewhat readable through it, might also be the small image size you uploaded that makes it look different) but sometimes the background fill is totally missing (or 100% transparent)

Anyways...SO, thanks for the side poppers...those work just fine, and thanks for listening to each and every one of us while we all flip out over changes due to us all being human and afraid of change.

I usually stay away from posting in the 9/11 forum as the behavior in there is sad, to say the least. This is where most of my ignored members come from and I noticed they are no longer ignored. I also have noticed the friend/foe line above a posters avatar is gone. I used both of these to not read post that were childish, IMO, or just plain insulting and was a wondering if they will return or if they are just gone for the moment due to the changeover.

Either way, I'm just asking. However, I did enjoy the ignore function although ten seemed a low number to me but whatever happens, happens, and I am a big boy and will deal with it.

SO, not to add to your distress or anything, but now link formatting appears to be messed up.
