How many of you still enjoy poetry? I have several books on poetry.
James Galvin's As Is is really great. Grecory Orr How Beautiful The Beloved is one of my favorites. One of the greatest rap artiest Tupac Shakura
wrote a great collection of poems. I also material by Sylvia Plath, Mary oliver, Tao Te Ching and numerous others.
Some that are even in French and Spanish.
I haven't read any poetry that's blown me away lately but my dad just sent me 3 new poetry books so hopefully one of them will be amazing. I like
Rilke and Rimbaud and Ginsburg and Audre Lord and Sandra Cisneros and was shocked at how wonderful Ana Castillo's novel in verse, Watercolor
Women/Opaque Men, is.
It's funny, I usually consider myself a Renaissance Man...but poetry is just something that never appealed to me. Just seems like lyrics that were
never put to music. Still though, everything isn't for everybody. I'm sure there are lots of things that appeal to me that don't to others.
