what if its never been about oil, but rather elements and minerals

With the press release last week about Afghanistan having massive mineral deposits for TECHNOLOGICAL CRUCIAL applications it makes me wonder if all the wars and invasions are not so much about oil which is last years resource of choice and on its way out, but rather to do with who controls the elements used in making electronics, solar panels, batteries, generators, communications equipment, etc.

The rare earth elements, and of course gold silver platinum.


Think about it, though oil is still the main power source right now, we are quickly advancing toward the wide scale use of alternative energies as technology becomes better.

Now since Afghanistan was found with all these new resources what if neighboring Iran also has significant bounty that tptb where able to discover using satellites and bouncing of waves to read the responses.

Your guys thoughts?

But still what is the drivere of that greed, at one time it was land and farms, another it was waterways (again in the future this will be a factor) then it was oil and now is it rare earth metals?

What if they knew all along that afghanistan was the money maker?

Would make sense...

Stage 9/11, blame it on a fake/CIA-hired terrorist (Bin Laden) allow (what seems to be) futile invasion of an empty country (afghanistan) looking for an enemy...then blame the same problems on Iraq and control the military/oil contracts....then go back to afghanistan and accomplish the original goal.

or maybe they just truly found this out and are going to rape and pillage to get it? who knows.

You are very right, and China controls about 90% of some of the most critical rare earth metals.

These metals will become only more vital in the future.

China is in the box seat right now and they own or are trying to own Australia which has huge amounts of mineral wealth including Iron ore ,zinc, yellowcake to name a few.Australia is having a mining boom now and a bloke named Stern Hu was recently "thrown to the wolves" for alleged espionage.I dont really have an opinion on this but it could be more than it seems.Also Six Australian Mining magnates have gone missing on a plane in Africa,maybe nothing more than a plane crash but who knows!Here's the links if your interested.

substance doesn't drive greed - emotion does.

fear, to be exact.

fear of not having enough
fear of running out
fear of losing the stockpile
fear of going hungry
fear of freezing
fear of having enough but having to fight off those who don't have enough

it doesn't matter what IT IS, if it is of an exhaustible supply, it will drive greed because of the underlying fear.

if it never ran out - if whatever it was was guaranteed to always be there in sufficient quantities for all that required it....well, i don't think there would be any greed at all!

there might also be sharing!

but then again, that's an awful lot to ask for.

Do the U.S Government employees (referring specifically that have stolen power by deception, not those that are deceived or are actually trying to help)
actually care for the humans that live in Afghanistan or are they in it for there in fortunes to RULE the world and make themselves "Emperors" when they could be seen as imposters or do not deserve based on there life choice/morals/ethics/personal decisions?

it's always been about the land...the route to the west (china and india) that the pipelines flow over. water, gas, and oil pipelines. that's why russia was in afghanistan and it's why we are. and it's why we're in iraq and it's why we're going to be in iran, syria, the babystans, this stuff is just a bonus.
