‘Ladies and gentlemen, if you look to the left of the plane, you will see a volcano erupting...’ Holiday-maker Mary Jo Penkala took this picture of a volcanic eruption as she flew over the island of Montserrat in the Caribbean. ‘We were so lucky to see the volcano in all its glory,’ said the hairdresser, 49. She was on a Boeing 737 from Toronto to St Lucia when the pilot alerted passengers to the eruption. Much of the island has been evacuated since the Soufriere Hills volcano began erupting in 1995. “It was certainly an interesting start to our vacation.”

Absolutely stunning, the passengers sure got their tickets worth on that flight.
Whats also interesting is that this isnt one of the volcanos that have been mentioned on MSM of late.
There may be more to come.

Wow that is beautiful.

Why don't I ever get such cool views from my boring plane rides?

Just bear in mind that these pictures are from February, not recent so no panicking about the sky falling in please.

Wow that is awesome! And even though it's quite a ways off I would still be concerned for the plane!
