Obama to Iran: U.S. offer of dialogue still stands

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama renewed his administration's offer of dialogue and diplomacy with Tehran on Saturday, a year after his offer of a new beginning with Iran failed to achieve concrete results.

"We are working with the international community to hold the Iranian government accountable because they refuse to live up to their international obligations," Obama said in the address released by the White House.

Looks like Obama is trying to publicly distance himself from any further sense that US will assist Israel is attacking Iran...


Regardless if the US helps or not, the US will be blamed because that's where Israel gets it's military finance from.

I'm not sure what Obama thinks will happen from this statement, because Amadinjihad flip flops more times than Dick Cheney so, it's just pointless ponder.... But I guess, he had to say something! lol

If Obama really wants to impress the Iranians he should confess that he is a Muslim and then disarm Israel, hand over control of the entire region to the Iranian Ayatollahs.

That, and likely nothing less will impress the Iranians.

Obama's talk is even less impressive for most Americans now.

loool, yup iran has "isolated" itself with the support of 118 nations.. they must must be lonely.

obama has no room to talk about living up to "international obligations" while the US govt tortures, extra judiciously kills people convicted of nothing, denies human rights, launches aggressive wars that are an insult to humanity.

Right OPs, Iran wants to keep America in the ironsights verses shake hands...which really makes no sense.
America sell's Israel weapons. Fine...if your shot by someone, do you blame the person whom shot you, or the store that sold the person the gun?

Some minor blame can be placed on the store if it was a known criminal, but he would have purchased the gun elsewhere anyhow.

Only in the cases where Israel was given money but had to hire US contractors to make them #.

They were GIVEN weapons... There is a difference.
