And they are at least partially right... There have been COOLING trends, not only in the atmosphere, but also in the oceans...

You do know that the oceans store more energy than the atmosphere ever will right?...

Here is a graph of the global sea surface temperatures since 2002.

Don't scream "i win" and look at the graph on the top right which shows the changes in temperatures since 1999 until 2008. The graph shows a downward trend...that is a cooling trend...

You do notice that it shows a trend downwards right? That's what those members are refering to.

The AGW scientists were claiming the earth would continuously continue to warm because of CO2, and that hasn't happened...

What we have seen, and continue to experience is NATURAL Climate Change....

BTW Natural Climate Change doesn't mean just "WARMING".... it means change sin the climate either cooling, or warming, or both...

What we have been experiencing are trends in both cooling, and warming...

All over the globe there have been records winters... it hasn't been just local...it has been global...

When the Sun's activity started slowing down to a crawl global temperatures dipped, and then as the interstellar shield weakened more and more, more radiation from outside the Solar System entered the inner Solar System, and scientists found that this radiation from some unknown source has been warming the Earth's atmosphere.

The point is not who has the most snowfall or who has the coolest weather. Taiwan is also unusually cold for the first time that Taiwan can remember. Russia also had crazy winter weather as did many countries across Europe.

The point is that Global Warming/Cooling/Climate Change, whatever you wish to call it, is not human made. It's nature taking its own course as it has been since its own existence on our planet. I don't care if it's hot or if it's cold, but climate change is happening, which if not attributed to weather manipulating technologies (e.g. cloud seeding = snow storms or rain deluges as in China), is being caused by nature itself.

If the IPCC is so confident about their findings then why was I able to find the following articles:

And regarding pollution, it must be diminished in order to keep the planet clean, but no one can change the sun's activities or the change in the Earth's axis or any other interesting stages that the Earth is entering that is affecting our climate.

Well done Electric. Metamagic giving up on you shows that the truth hurts. Ah well...looks like you won! Although it was very easy considering that Metamagic even used his sexual encounters with scientists to prove he knows a lot.

My wife is a Medical Doctor and has a PhD in Human Genetics. She's also a scientist, and so good that her work was published in a high level Journal. My Dad is also a scientist, and has different beliefs from my wife and me on climate change.

So despite being related to scientists, I am very happy to listen to other views on Climate Change, including my Dad's who believes the North Pole is warming and melting. Although my Dad won't listen much to anyone else's views, as he believes that only his are right
