A British Court has backed a previous Cypriot Court decision to grant compensation and return of property to a Greek man who was dispossed of his
property back in 1974 after a coup in which the Turks took control of the Northern part of Cyprus.
A British couple who bought the land in good faith from its new owners have now to demolish the property they built and pay the original Greek owner
compensation for the time spent using his land.
It serves as a warning to anyone buying land in disputed territory. This could have ramifications for those aquiring property in illegally occupied
territory in Palestine.
