If you could describe yourself or let your peers describe you then who are you?
What do people say about you?
How do you perceive yourself??

Husband, father, an honest man . . .

. . . . and if the wife isn't looking. . . .ninja, fighter pilot, astronaut, who can turn invisible.

A cynical, ageing old urban hermit who lives in the center of one of the planet's biggest cities yet barely ever leaves his home...a man who looks in the mirror sometimes and wonders if his rural, farm-boy youth was a dream or another man's life, something that happened ten thousand years ago. A man somehow against all odds lucky enough to have a beautiful young wife, yet a person who intensely dislikes personal contact with most of the rest of humanity...talk to or touch me in public and I'm likely to flinch. A man who has known both poverty (near-homelessness) and relative wealth, and understands how quickly one state can morph back into the other...a man who spends his days and nights in a filthy old bathrobe, for the most part, huddled in a book-lined den surrounded by glowing computer screens...switching back and forth between reading about the commodities markets and derivatives on the one hand and arcane religious esoterica on the other...a bit gaunt and stubbly, needs a cane to get around...voice often rusty from misuse. Suspicious of individuals, yet still, somehow, against all odds, loving humanity itself as a family.

IF.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

-Kipling

Who wants to know? Who are you?

You start off as a sort of ice-breaker. But remember the rule about T.M.I.

T.M.P.I. Too much PERSONAL information.

Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing

I'd say I was conscientious, honest, reliable, kind.

A lot (really a lot) of other people have described me as 'weird'.

One person said 'nice weird'. Oh, and I've been accused of 'having a taste for the bizarre'.

My mum always said I was awkward.

I'm laughing now, I'm really reclusive so it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks. They don't have to put up with me any more.

My peers see me as a rather attractive middleaged lady who can sometimes intimidate them with her aloofness, sarcasm and intelligence or amaze them with her artwork, kindess and love for fun.

I've been told I am moody and unpredictable so I guess they never know what to expect from day to day.

I feel like if I would let my peers explain me, they would be like "who?"...I feel like after school I kind of drifted off like a leaf and out of existence, if you will. It's odd, but I feel as though I am just a simple, unimportant, person. Kind of depressing, but I don't mind.
