Pyramids in China - Great White Pyramid

The pyramids of China are approximately 100 ancient mounds, many of which were used for burial. Most of them are located within 100 kilometers of the city of Xi'an, on the Qin Chuan Plains in the Shaanxi Province, central China.

The existence of pyramids in China has come in two stages. Most early stories were focused on the existence of "Great White Pyramid." A photograph of this pyramid in the Qinling mountains was taken by Americans in 1945, but remained in military files for 45 years. US Air Force pilot James Gaussman is said to have seen a white jewel topped pyramid during a flight between India and China during World War II, but there is scant evidence for a source on this story.

However, it is now believed that the Gaussman story was actually based on Colonel Maurice Sheahan, Far Eastern director of Trans World Airlines, who told an eyewitness account of his encounter with a pyramid in the March 28, 1947 edition of The New York Times. A photo of Sheahan's pyramid appeared in The New York Sunday News on March 30, 1947. It is this photograph that later became attributed to James Gaussman.

It is now known, thanks to efforts of Chris Maier, that the particular pyramid shown in the photo is the Maoling Mausoleum. This pyramid sits just outside of Xi'an. In 1994, German tour operator and author Hartwig Hausdorf was noted for photographing and studying several pyramids.

He drew attention to the structures' existence with his 1994 book Die Weisse Pyramide, the subject of an article in Nexus Magazine in 1995 by Philip Coppens, later translated into English under the revised title The Chinese Roswell (1998).

The pyramids of Xi'an can now be visited on trips from Xi'an and no longer are located in "forbidden zones". Several pyramids have small museums attached to them.

The Great White Pyramid itself (rather than the photograph), as described by Sheahan, remains unidentified.

New Photorecon images from the farshore web www.100megsfree4.com... site they show a large number of pyramids in three areas. After careful examination of the images you can see that they are not of the same pyramids as the ones taken by Hartwig Hausdorf



The second photograph is a larger view of the lower center in the first Photograph. It shows a few large pyramids and a large number of small pyramids.



The main Pyramid areas are on the Qin Chuan Plains in central China:

The other nice thing about this image is, we know exactly where it was taken. As you can see on the map the original large image cover an area that includes the township of Xianyang. That puts the Pyramid where the letter 'n' is in name Xianyang on the Map.

Pyramids and pyramidal structures are a worldwide phenomena, found in Egypt, Peru, Central America, America's Mississippi Valley, France, Polynesia. Now we can add two more locations, China and Japan.

For decades, one of the few clues that China has pyramids was a grainy, black and white photo of a huge, shadowy, pyramidal form. It is an aerial shot, taken by W.W.II USAF pilot James Gaussman, as he flew over China delivering supplies from India to Chunking, in the spring of 1945.

Secret Chinese Pyramids Evidence of Alien Visitors?

According to the old Chinese legend, over one hundred pyramids built in China are evidence of visits paid by aliens to our planet.

At the very beginning of the century, two Australian merchants traveled to the vast plains of Sichuan in the central part of China, where they discovered over one hundred pyramids. The Australians asked the superior of the local monastery about the pyramids, and the superior said that they were “very old.” The first record of the pyramids was written over 5,000 years ago; therefore, it is very likely that they are even older.

The merchants also discovered that the pyramids belonged to the epoch when China was ruled by ancient emperors who believed in the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations. Moreover, the emperors themselves insisted that they were ancestors “of the sons of the sky, who had landed the Earth on iron dragons.” Aliens are alleged to have been the constructors of the pyramids.

In March 1994, Austrian Hartwig Hausdorf made a trip to the area close to the city of Xi'an, the capital of the Shaanxi province, which is situated in the central part of China. These territories were closed for foreigners. During the tour, the Austrian discovered six legendary pyramids. Hartwig Hausdorf organized another tour to China in October 1994, this time with a video camera. Hausdofr managed to shoot an 18 minute film. When Hausdorf returned home, he decided to watch the film that he had shot in China. However, the Austrian was extremely surprised to see more pyramids in the background. He counted over 100 pyramids standing in an area of 2,000 square kilometers.

Some of the pyramids are currently in very poor condition, as they were plundered by the local citizens. The pyramids are mostly built of loam and soil; some farmers destroyed the pyramids to take the loam and soil to their fields and used them in the farms.

When Hausdorf decided to continue his investigation of the pyramids, he faced lots of problems. Although he was allowed to continue his investigation, the Chinese government banned any excavations in the area.

What kind of constructions are these pyramids? The heights of the pyramids situated in the Sichuan plains are from 25 to 100 meters, with the exception of only one pyramid situated to the north of the rest constructions. It is the so-called Great White Pyramid, which is said to be about 300 meters high. This pyramid can be truly called the mother of all Chinese pyramids.

Recently, the Chinese authorities declared the area where the Great White Pyramid stands a closed region, as a launching pad for rockets is situated in that region.

The Chinese pyramids astonishingly resemble the pyramids in the Central America. Is it possible that the South American pyramids were also constructed by the sons of the sky?

Okay before I do the full tour of the sites... I want to cover the group in the Farshore satellite photos as it took a long time to find them... but I did The problem was they are not in the same area as the main groups..

Notice how the grouping is similar to Giza..



The satellite image above was what began the search for the Chinese Pyramids so many years ago, and now as they have been found and placed on Google Earth markers the hunt is easier. But the particular group above remained illusive. One of the reasons is that the area is no longer only farmland, many of the pyramids are actually in the cities now... but we managed to find the ctoup above... though some of the smaller ones have been completely destroyed.

First step is the correct orientation to match Google Earth's map....

The Pyramids of China - Western Xia Tombs

The pyramids in Egypt have always been regarded as a mystery of ancient human civilization. Another mysterious ancient construction that resembles the refulgence has been found in China. Dubbed the "Pyramids of China", the Western Xia Tombs include nine mausoleums housing the imperial family and 207 tombs belonging to dukes and ministers.


In recent years, scientific research and exploration have been conducted at the site, buried in the wilderness of Helan Mountain in West China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region , in hopes of decoding the sudden disappearance of the Western Xia civilization.

Located 30 kilometers west of Yinchuan , capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Western Xia Tombs cover an area of 40 square kilometers; they are located on the eastern slope of the Helan Mountain range, just south of the Gunzhong Pass.

Zangkunchong Step Pyramid

This step pyramid, 31.58 by 31.58 meters square and 12.4 meters high, is located at Ziban, now in China. It fronts on the KukNae castle (Ziban) to the soth west, and 12 stone plates, the largest one of them measures 2.7m long and 4.5m high, leaned against the first step. There was four guardian stones, looks like a dolmen on the step, but survived just one which you can see below. It is called 'Paechong', means guardian tomb in korean. What a strange post looks like a sphinx in Egypt.

It was guessed having constructed in Kokuryo period, maybe before A.D. 500, but nobody know whose tomb. It was once known a stone tomb of the great Kwangkaeto, but now a destroyed stone pyramid, nearby the stone monument of the great Kwangkaeto, should be of the great, and so this pyramid might be a tomb of king Zangsu. 'Zangkunchong' means a tomb of general in korean.

By the last discovery, new fact that the head part of stone coffins in the inner chamber put towards Chonzi (crater lake) on Paektusan (Mt. PaekTu), to the northeast, is unearthed.

The Terra cotta Army or Terra cotta Warriors and Horses is a collection of 8,099 life size terra cotta figures of warriors and horses located near the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor . The figures were discovered in 1974 near Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

Construction of this mausoleum began in 246 BC and is believed to have taken 700,000 workers and craftsmen 38 years to complete. Qin Shi Huang was interred inside the tomb complex upon his death in 210 BC.

Mao Ling Mausoleum

This is the Location of the "White Pyramid" of China. It is the Mao Ling Mausoleum. Unfortunately it is out of the range of the high resolution satelite images for now. See HERE for how this was calculated to be the white pyramid.

NOTE: I just noticed that I did not save the link for the determination that this was the white pyramid... I will find it and add it later.

Google has now rescanned the area so I have a better images now..

The Russian pyramid investigator Maxim Yakovenko has visited several Chinese pyramid complexes and has finally been able to identify the legendary “White Pyramid” as the Liangshan Mountain, which holds the tomb of Emperor Gaozong. As such, decades of speculation and mystery have finally been answered.

The story of the White Pyramid came about in the 1940s, when eyewitness reports, specifically from pilot James Gaussman, related the presence of an enormous “White Pyramid” near the Chinese city of Xi’an. If true, it was bigger than the Great Pyramid of Giza. The region was off-limits to Western tourists for many decades afterwards and once this restriction was lifted, many pyramids were found, but the gigantic “White Pyramid” was not amongst them. A photograph of what was believed to be the White Pyramid, turned out to be one of a much smaller pyramid near Xi’an.

So what was the White Pyramid? Had someone overestimated the dimensions of a smaller pyramid? The answer is a simple no. The photograph had nothing to do with the original account of the White Pyramid, and this is where the main problem has lain in recent years. The actual White Pyramid is Liangshan Mountain and it is as big as Gaussman and others had claimed it was.

Liangshan Mountain is located in the vicinity of Qiang Xian, a small Chinese town located 80 km to the northwest from Xi’an. In 684 AD, the second emperor of the Tang Dynasty Gaozong was buried at the bottom of the mountain with his wife the Empress Wu. She reigned after Gaozong’s death. When she died in 705 AD, her body was buried near Gaozong’s on Liangshan Mountain. It is the only mausoleum where two Tang monarchs were buried.

That is quite incredible. I must congratulate you on such a good presentation of these materials. The information about the ancient emperors and their belief that they were descended from extraterrestrials was very intriguing. In my studies, I have found that an astonishing number of ancient civilizations have stories about "people from the skies" being involved in their cultural development. The plot thickens. Maybe we shall be visited again soon.

That is an awesome thread. Flag for you, zorgon. You made me think of something, It might not be anything but the names of the regions and provinces of China sounded awfully familiar. The name Xianjang rang a bell because of the riots that took place. Look at this link talking about Oil rich Xianjang and the riots that recently took place.

So, we have ancient pyramids, oil, and a Chinese gov't trying to calm down a racial/cultural boiling point that is bubbling over there.

These GODS FROM THE SKY that I hear at every turn is becoming very interesting and boring for me at the same time plus the fact that the chinese and india goverments are paranoid about a lot of "interesting" things:
- secret UFO base in himalay I/CH border contested region (... chinese and india troops are preventig everyone from entering that area ... naughty )
- a 300m x 500m sized "?training?" military owned area in central Tibet depicting precisely the UFO base area (400km x 300km real size) and other surrounding mountains (search Google Earth)
- India officials being scared of some revelations in some archeological dig sites on the peninsula probably (it´s only my theory ok)
-the silence and embargo in China on the matter of

Good job, thanks for posting this. I remember a story of the Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi who was entombed (didn't know it was a pyramid) and his syrcophagus was surrounded by a lake of mercury on ground coated in bronze that was poured in to hold the mercury. There's more but I will post a link. But the funny thing is that they buried the pyramid in soil to make it look like a regular hill. And from all those photos you have, many many of those hills are pyramids that the Chinese govt. won't allow excavation. We are getting so much information of ancient emperors and leaders that believed they where descendant or helped from the people or gods of the sky. I think the dam is going to bust on our ancient past, and when it does we as a civilization will finally know a big chunk of the real history of this planet.

In 1994/5/6 I lived in and around Xian and can confirm there were many of these pyramids or 'burial mounds' as the locals referred to them. Nobody ever expressed any kind of interest in them. When I'd press them further, most, just said that 'there are pyramids all over the world, these ones were built by one or other of the ancient dynasties, and would have already been pludered hundreds of years ago.

As for Laura Lee, I think it unwise to rely on that source after reading this statement.

The final sentnece of that statement is completly false. It was false before 1994, it was false during 1994,and it was false after 1994. Xian at that time was pulling in at least 50 coaches of western tourists a day. The pyramids were accessible to tourists back then. There was no secrecy about them. It was common knowledge by the locals, common knowledge by the migrants, and common knowledge amongst the local and national power elites that brought western VIPs in, in a constant stream. It is true that most tourists never notice them. But for those that did, it wasn't hard to visit- I went to a number of them. The majority of the ones I saw only because I began to look for them. Many are hard to recognise from the ground due to the fact they are covered in vegetation. The locals weren't allowed to farm them.

Xian at that time was also home to as many as 400 expats most of which were American. Most were on short contracts of less than 3yrs and lived in one of the main hotels. The vast majority of these were aircraft engineers and telecommunications specialists. Xian was also home to more than one military base and extensive weapons and aircraft manufacturing plants. Even the most well known hotel for tourists and expats at the time was built and owned by The Chinese Air Force, despite the franchised American brand name above the door. It was actually on land within the Base, but as a tourist you'd never have known that. Easier to tap phones I expect.

As an aside, Fidel Castro stayed at that hotel less than a year later. His visit at that time was said to be a vacation, but we all knew he was there for aircraft and weapons. We also tut tutted at his preference for Coca Cola. I always felt that it was odd that merely a week earlier Bill Gates had been staying in the main rival hotel.

Don't get me started on the Terracotta Warriors otherwise I'll never finish with your Space Navy thread!

Is there more? Are you holding out on us?? I felt like I was left hanging on the edge of a cliff when your posts seemed to end!

My dad, who used to be a farmer in China, said that this is a method of farming in higher altitudes.

He said that there is no soil on hills or mountains so the farmers have to move dirt and create these mounds to farm on.
