Obama will speak to the Iranian people if and when he is told to do so. In matters of foreign policy he is on a short leash.

Sure it's damned if you do and damned if you don't when the US President "meddles".

Well I am waiting for him to meddle here by providing his much ballyhoed "change" to a populace that is increasingly unemployed, increasingly broke, increasingly unrepresented in Washginton and is increasingly lied too"

From where I sit Iran's democracy and Iran's people seem to be doing better and appreciate the process better than America's and the American citizen.

Are you truly inclined to think that people in Iran are going to behave different based on what the President of the United States says publicly?

Hey I have an idea, let's make everything that ever happens in the world all about America and our ego that now seems to be several sizes larger than our wallets and pocketbooks and our own moral actions.

What do you suggest Obama help waterboard the Ayatollahs into relinquishing power, because at the end of the day that's who is in power in Iran and holds the power in Iran in a process that works more or less the same way the Catholics decide on a Pope. The upper echelons of the priestly class decide not the laity.

This is just another distraction from a far more pressing domestic agenda, keep the moral platitudes and ego maniacal wishes and just show me the money, and show the rest of America some at the same time, and work on getting the people of this nation some living wage jobs and a functional representative republic. I double dog dare you Barack Hussein Obama!

Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, OP, we did just pass a resolution (with one vote opposing) saying that we support the people of Iran.

And now, I'll make you feel bad again, Mr. Ron Paul was the only person to vote against it, makes you wonder.

Indeed it does.

When I heard the news I was glad to hear that at least in words we will be expressing support for the Iranian PEOPLE, President Obama's blessing or not.

The mother of all WTF moments was hearing that the one dissenting vote was Ron Paul.

I'm still not sure what to make of that, nor do I care at this point. Ron Paul is known for his controversial positions on many issues, perhaps that is the point... Getting your name in the headlines has advantages.

The world is watching says Obama.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

This has to be a nightmare, someone please wake me up.

I have been called a democrat, I have been called a republican, a left wing animal lover, a right wing radical... Being a centrist that means I am exactly where I should be... I have been called worse.

But I would like to be called an American. Seems that people have forgotten what that means, lost in the politics of it all.

If we can't take a stand for democracy in Iran, then I suppose our own democracy is all but lost.

Iran, the world is watching you.... Obama wants you to know that.

Please tune into ABC news for the exclusive full story... Coming soon.

Allah bless America.

I'm done here.

Where in the Constitution does it say he has the right to interfere with another country and its citizens?

The POTUS takes the oath of office in which he says he'll defend this country from all enemies. The regime of Iran is an enemy. It has called for our destruction and downfall many times. It arms our enemies. It arms terrorists who want to destroy us.

To bring down that regime though helping those who revolt is the job of those who have sworn to protect us.

Use a little foresight .. will ya?

I swear you all take the hypocritical cake.

I swear you are totally in the dark about how to protect this country.

I'm still not convinced that this all too convenient uprising was not planned or at least encourage by clandestine elements of the US Government.

And if it was .... so what? It would be to our benefit and the benefit of the people of Iran to be rid of that regime. It would stablize the world. If we were involved I say - that's fine and dandy.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ..........well its probably a duck!It should come as no surprise that Obama/ Soetoro is not supporting a democratic movement in Iran he is clearly a socialist,so why then would it come as a surprise when he acts like one?People need to listen to what Obama is saying,he is not even being covert about this he is out in the open with his beliefs but everyone just keeps assuming he has America's best interest in mind, well if he does it is not the U.S.A. we all love it is one he has envisioned where we must pay for all (his) imagined misdeeds.
