POLL which way do you want it Public point or Private

I see alot of complaints both ways Why not tell the boss men which way you want it.

Do you like the public point system or do you prefer to keep it private.

Also do you prefer public moods or no?

I prefer public points. I also dont mind public moods either. If someone wants to show their mood that's fine with me.
I liked the points being displayed and I also liked the labels as to what kind of contributor you were. It helped me with many things I wanted to know. If I saw someone always in a forum I liked with a platinum or gold or whatever label I knew that I would get good info from reading their threads. There have been a few members on here whose threads I follow and it really helps me but that is just how I feel.

Agree with mblahnikluver for the same reasons

For the record I to like public points and public moods...

Darn it I no longer feel digital...and I liked feeling digital.

I think that points are not that important anyway. Just trolling and spamming would raise it,but labels were nice addition. So i have nothing against private (or no at all) points but i am all for labels come back.

PUBLIC..........Then a more detailed on private......Like the way it was.

i like public points and the labels. they were great. england crreated an empire by giving out orders and awards. it's neat to know a bit about a poster, how active they are on ATS.

public moods are fine. i personally don't put down my mood, which is a perfectly easy way to keep it private. i enjoy reading the moods of others who want to share.

I see no harm in having the points public.

It merely shows how much somebody has contributed to ATS!

The problem lies in the fact that any attainable status urges some of the less shiny apples to abuse the system - simply to attain that status. For the same reason I think there was absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever with applause-based 'status badges'.

Overall I did like the public display, even with those who might've abused it.. But in the end, the staff should do whatever the hell they feel like, as people will always find reasons to complain.

IMO there is always going to be someone who finds a way to abuse the system.

I just joined at the end of April. I like the points system and the moods and the metallic levels. I'm interested in keeping the ratings alive. It would be disappointing to lose them. I personally like having a ladder to climb. Since we operate virtually, communication is enhanced with the points, moods and levels. IMHO. ♥ Shoot - I just made Apprentice and now the school is closed?
