You know not all the Bush and Chaney did was bad. The fact that we never had another 9/11 is proof that some of the policies that they endorsed helped to protect us. They did what needed to be done at the time in order to make a more secure nation. And if Chaney is going to give a warning it should be takes seriously. Besides who is Keith Olbermann to tell any one to go away. We can say the same about his leftist views. What if Bill O'Reilly said the same thing about a democrat?

I think Keith Olbermann should leave the USA and hop over the border

When 9-11 occurred, here in the US we were pissed. I know it's been a while but we were mad, we wanted revenge, and we wanted action.

We got it.

If the lives of my family, friends, neighbors, and countrymen are on the line, I'd take any measure, at any level, requiring any action to stop them, niceties be damned.

Cheney was tough. When we needed tough.

Like the gunfighters hired as a Marshall in the old West when the killing and drinking got completely out of hand. He'd come in, bust heads, shoot those who needed it, and as soon as he bought the town some breathing room, he was fired.

Folks sure are quick to forget.

I like Cheney. He was the right man in the right place at the right time.

I can't say the same about Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld. Wasn't half as smart as he thought he was.

And at the end of the day, the President has to rely on intelligence received, as he has little control over how it was obtained, or just how accurate it is.

If you have an actionable threat, which way would you prefer the President to act? Ignore things as did Clinton, or act on the side of prudence and take action?

I know which I prefer, and since we were never hit again under Bush and Cheney's watch, they must have been doing something right.

Bush and Co. have raped the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, not to forget the Human Basic rights, and you sit at your computer and try and defend their actions... Wake up man!

There are rights which every individual was given by God, inalienable and immutable. Rights that you and I were born with.

Not all of these rights are at first blush obvious. It is these ephemeral rights existent within your periphery which have been infringed.

Many of you who still favor the Bush regime bear sobering indignation of an undeserving kind, Why should YOU care about criminals and terrorists?

Look in the mirror, friend. You are a terrorist. Your thoughts, your feelings, somewhere in the world there is someone deathly afraid of your way of life and is merely a hairs breadth away from committing everything they have to the decimation of your beliefs.

But so are you. You are just a hairs breadth away from being as monstrous as they. Stare long into the abyss, and it stares back into you.

What keeps us from being like our enemy? Our comforts, our comrades, and our family. Our insulated, rubber-walled nation comforts us with warm arms of commercialism and soft kisses of the bread and circus variety.

How easily do you, the righteous, forget the calling to tend to your brother and enemy alike... for your enemy is your brother. You weep the same salty tears for the same damnable reasons and shed blood for the same griefs and grievances.

But why should YOU worry? You have nothing to hide. None of you would be the first to offer your home openly to someone whose position dictates that they render suspicion upon all people whose homes they enter.

It is your duty as a human being, if you care about humanity, to defend the most horrible criminals and trespassers of society. For in them lies also your fate...

You have nothing to hide. Until the world changes, and then you DO have something to hide.

Only, the world isn't listening anymore to your cries for help; You turned your back on it long ago in pursuit of your own self interests.

First I want to say..Olbermann is horrible on the sports side...and worse on the political side. I heard Glenn Beck mentioning that GE(parent company of MSNBC) might get federal aid- especially since Immelt is now on Obamas economic advisory panel..Does that mean Olbermann would get the salary max of 500K?
