Sorry-plenty of info out there about Israeli NEUTRON weapons. Just google it. Check out "David's Sling". Check out the 1979 nuclear test carried out with S. Africa. That was a neutron weapon. Look at how Israel has manufactured hundreds of these very small devices.

sorry thats bollocks

an enhanced radiation weapon is a nuclear bomb , usually in the megaton class , with an outer core and case of the salting material - in the case of an enhanced neutron the outer core would be chromium with x-ray mirrors to enhance the neutrom flux - with gold instead you enhance x-rays

but its still a thermonuclear bomb!

theres nothing `clean` about it - it goes bang , and there a mushroom cloud - its just the kill range on the small weapons - MGM-52 LANCE with the W-70 dial a yield ERW warhead was greater than the prompt effects.

as for baseball sized neutron bombs - that`ll be the myth called Red Mercury

Why are rockets not being fired into Israel from Jordan? Or from Egypt? It's obviously an internal problem occuring in Gaza and Lebanon and because their governments don't have the ability to control their citizens/foreigners, unfortunately, for the peace-loving masses of those two areas, they will have to suffer the consequences of their fellow mans actions.

I bet every time a "normal" citizen of Gaza or Lebanon, you know the kind that work and go to school to make a better life for their kids, sees a rocket fired into Israel from their own territory, know for a fact, their hate-filled brother is insane.

This crap reminds me of the beltway sniper incidents - the U.S. handled their "internal" problem, so why can't Gaza and Lebanon handle their own? It's as if wild jackyls are in charge of these two areas and people get all pissy at Israel for taking action, when everybody knows if you play with fire you will get burned.

And to the person who asked "Iran" to please not get involved - by all means do get involved. I for one am sick and tired of hearing how those in support of Hamas etc have their hopes set on Iran, and every time a squirmish breaks out - Iran does nothing but talk. When will you learn Iran WON"T do anything because their power lies only in their threats? If they act they will be crushed and then what? You really think Russia or China will help? Think again. Economies are in shambles and each country has their own 'internal" problems to deal with. Common sense dictates here.

Israel will end up taking over the areas rockets are being fired from and then baby sitters will take it from there until these goverments have some form of control over themselves and their citizens.

I guess it's time for the Truman Doctrine to come into affect yet again... It is rather peculiar how American political organizations have a proclivity for producing military doctrines, which assure that their actions are in the best interest of the world, and further insure them against any mistake they could possibly make (all actions, whether mistaken or not, are in the name of freedom after all).

The Monroe Doctrine was equally as irresponsible. But I guess nation building was the cool thing to do back then. Deterministic democracies could find any justification they needed for whatever imperial ambitions they had historically pursued. They were after all spreading their ideas of liberty, which were completely morally incontestable and the promise of freedom from oppressive agents (only some members of the subjugated societies actually benefited by this pursuit; more people would be better off with less liberty under existing social structures).

The idea goes that if a nation is eudaemonic-inspired then it surely must be morally right in all its actions! Then again, in some parts of the world eudaemonic agents aren't the best replicators for cultural success in evolutionary terms. I'm thinking Islam is an example where human populations and their cultures are reproductively more successful pursuing a lack of happiness as opposed to a standard of nation building concentrated on improving the quality of life, promoting liberty and pursuing happiness.

The world has to find other means of reversing these societies, if that is actually their intention. As of now, the only strategies we have pursued involved the subjugation of certain unfavorable elements of those societies, by removing their leadership, invading them militarily, diminishing their economic and governmental abilities, and strategically upsetting regional power balances. If our only course of action is through war or occupation then these non eudaemonic-inspired societies will inevitably regress into a monster, which perpetually breeds terrorism, racial hatred, and ultimately genocide.

The only way, in my opinion, to reverse these systems is through the peace process, however, that can't EVER be established unless they are allowed to play out their own wars for national sovereignty. For all of the history of the Middle East in contact with the West, starting with the British in the 19th century, we have made the mistake of ousting political and social institutions, which are not aligned with our own, through the use of military or assassins. We have been killing unfavorable rulers in the Middle East with assassins ever since many of those countries have gained independence, as the facade that was the U.N. Mandate system could no longer be sustained without suspicion on behalf of the local populations that it was all a trap to subjugate the economic resources of those countries.

The peace process can only arise when national sovereignty is clearly defined by all countries in those regions based on existing millenia of historic ideology. If it is determined by the Middle East (I'm not excluding Israel here) that Israel must be dismantled (obviously Israel wouldn't vote against itself) then the world should simply accept. I doubt the elimination of Israel would ever be necessary. We can't force the Middle East to accept certain nations' existence. Most of all, we can't just accept that a non-changing, non-dynamic Israeli power structure and national border can be maintained. It's an illusion. It should be shifted in compliance with Palestinian desires as well as those of other countries in the region. The only reason they want to destroy Israel is that they don't believe it's legitimate. Middle Easterners throw around threats like it's nothing. It's part of their culture. If Israeli legitimacy is defined, and Palestinians gain some type of autonomy, then threats of nuking Israel will disappear altogether. They're empty threats, that's it. We can't possibly understand them. They speak another language, their semantic systems are totally different than ours.

I can't outrage more over the BBC, with their attitude that Israel is unchangeable and immutable and that Palestine must go immediately into peace discussions with out at first addressing that huge chunk of land directly interfering with their own national self determination and desire for political and economic autonomy.

red mercury is a mythical and made up substance , that changes its use depending on what the person is buying.

the smallest amount of plutonium to achieve critical mass is 10kg - and that ball is still larger than a baseball , let alone the wave forming shaped explosves and associated equpement.

the USA Neutron (past tense as they`ve phased them out now) the W-70 ERW warhead for the LANCE missile.

and thats it , Sam Coehn has gone nuts with his `ballotechnic` explosive being Red Mercury - basic science has proved him wrong yet he keeps going on about it.

Indian Ocean , september 22nd 1979

what about it? South Africa tested a `shot gun` type uranium based atmoic nomb , they gave ISrael 550 tons of uranium ore in exchange for technical assitstance in building this bomb.

a simple design south africa`s nuclear weapons were of the `little boy` type - massively ineffieicent but could still go bang.

whats of interest is that from 1977 a full arms embargo was in force against SA , and yet israel happily and willingly broke it.

( Looks like bombing of PressTV journalist has really pissed Iranian press off! )

'Israel behind missile fire from Lebanon'

A Lebanese lawmaker holds sleeping cells working for Tel Aviv responsible for carrying out rocket attacks from southern Lebanon into Israel.

In an interview with NBN television on Friday, Change and Reform bloc MP Nabil Nicolas warned that some parties attempt to give the impression that Hezbollah was violating the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Nicolas said the area from where the rockets were launched on Thursday was under the authority of UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and Hezbollah forces were not present in the southern Lebanese region.

This is while even Israeli authorities have admitted that the rockets fired at northern Israel were of an old model no longer used by Hezbollah.

Originally posted by JanusFINIf Israel was shot by Lebanon, why was so hurry to shoot back? Now, after "School Bombings" Israel is highly condemned around world from being aggressor. They could use these rockets very effective to show to whole world that they are victims too, asking wider justify to their acts... "Look what our neighbors do to us!"

what do you think this war is for? the rockets have been coming into isreal for decades, they dont need to wait a couple hours to declare "look what our neighbors do to us"....its been obvious for years now.

if it wasnt isreal, it would be a sunni/shia conaflict. these people use religion as a purpose for war. it doesnt matter who the enemy is, as long as there is war, they seem to be happy.

Three rockets fired from Lebanon hit north Israel; IDF returns fire

At least three Katyusha rockets fired from Lebanon hit northern Israel on Wednesday morning, reigniting fears of a second front opening during Israel's offensive against Hamas in Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces responded soon after, firing a number of artillery shells at "the source of fire" in southern Lebanon, the army said. Lebanese security officials said a total of eight shells were fired.
