The Pope is concerned with saving our souls. Our souls are eternal and much more important than anything on earth. Homosexuality is a path to the destruction of one's soul. One can choose the path to eternal salvation or another path. We are free to choose our behaviors. The pope is not concerned with the things of this earth. His concern is our eternal well being.
