Couldn't find anything posted about this, delete if it has. This is not like the "How to take pictures of UFOs" thread.
In a nutshell, I want to setup a motion detecting digital telescope that would be hooked up to a laptop to record UFO's.
The system would work as follows:
A camera or optimally a digital telescope would be hooked up to the laptop, which in turn would run a motion detecting program. Once motion is
detected in the aperture, the device would auto zoom in and track the path of the UFO and save the clip with a timestamp. The camera or telescope
should be powerful enough that you could see detail on the moon, thus allowing objects in the atmosphere to be viewed with better resolution.
Does this sort of system already exist? If so where?
Or if not, has someone done something similar and have any tips?
