Enquiring Minds "Wanta" Know.

I was going to throw this question into the tail end of another thread where Leo Wanta's name was mentioned, but as Jim requested, here it is as a separate thread.

There is a story to the effect that Leo Wanta thwarted an attempt upon Ronald Reagan's life that took place at the White House. This is cited as one of the reasons why Reagan had so much confidence in Wanta.

To my knowledge this incident was never reported in the mainstream press. A story like that would have been all over the media. Also, to my knowledge, no court proceedings ever took place in connection with such an incident.

Jim, have you heard anything about an incident like that?
