UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Iran demanded on Tuesday a "resolute and clear response" from the United Nations to what it called dangerous threats against it by Israel, and said Tehran would not hesitate to respond to any attack.

I am surprised with this demand. Well, for a country that had been threatened to be wiped off the map by a leader of the very same country who demands a UN response for Israeli threats. I guess there is a valid reason for Israel.

I thought that was supposed to be a "counter threat".

Who's the first one who made a dangerous threat in the first place?

You cant go around threatening a country, its just not cricket.
and lets not even pretend that '' wipe israel of the map '' bull crap is even a proper translation, do we really need to embaress ourselves with that cheap shot?

I believe Iran wants a war just as much as the Yanks want one, and they know if they ignore it long enough it will come to then.

So in the mean time, make sure you play the right moves, and say the right lines so that when history looks back you can be declared the victim in the crisis.

There is no proof of what America is accusing Iran of.
America have been shown, to lie and fabricate proof to wage war on other me nations in the years prior
and Iran are not attacking anyone, nor threatning anyone.

The UN is a toothless dog, that is begging for bones from the US, so this will go on deaf ears.

It just makes an obvious mockery of American ignorance by playing the ol

But the issue between Israel & Iran did not just start with a vague "wipe of the map threat" if I am not mistaken.

Another thing that is quite puzzling is the history between the two countries.

If I can remember it right, during Iraq/Iran war, Israel may have been indirectly supported Iran. (Although they may deny this)

The U.N. will just ignore Iran, until Iran no longer exists, is 'liberated' ala 'Iraqi freedom' or they start trading oil for 'petro-dollars'
