BEIJING (Reuters) - Five American blogger-activists and a foreign artist have been detained in Beijing as the government intensifies a crackdown on pro-Tibetan protests in the home stretch of the Olympics, rights groups said on Wednesday.

Not only them but more in this story reports that the reason you have seen NO protesters in the designated protest zones is because everyone that applied for the permit to protest was denied and the majority were arrested for filing for the permit.

Seriously though, did these people think they could walk into CHINA and wave their Free Tibet signs around? Come on now.

Apparently they have taken their ability to protest as freely as they can in places like America for granted.

What I liked most abut the story was the explanation of WHY we have seen no protests in the designated protest zone. At least in the AFE we let people get inside the protest zone before we arrest them.
