I've got to listen to that podcast. I'd guess he meant the dot-grid puzzle -- the second one, perhaps yesterdays, with the hex-codes? I'm not convinced 'Chicago' was the correct answer there... a little too convoluted, perhaps?

With the dot grid, I've had a sneaking suspicion that the numbering of the grid, A-Z top-down, or A-Z bottom-up, might have confused some otherwise-correct attempts to solve; also, if there are 27 rows, A-Z+space, if the space was at top or bottom would make a difference, too...
