I would advise, we all at least here on this forum, gang up with a patition,a nd email it, mail it via letter, and call it in, and sate what are you afraid of? SOunds like yuor trying to silance adn gag people for no reason. WHats the threat? KEEP the internets best forum alive , strong and growing!!!

I am appalled. I have to confess that there are some sites which need removing from the internet because they are run by , and patroned by neo nazi filth , pedophiles, and other Secret Service agencies (chortle) throughout the world. But this site is a beacon of deep thought and public freedom. I havent seen any good reason to remove this site from the internet. Although there are some ridiculous people on the members list (i.e. the ones who think the suits that govern them are made of win) , there are also people on this site who campain by way of avoiding ignorance, for justice, for freedom, and for truth . Theres some kind of Win/Awesome alloy woven into the fabric of this site, and long may it remain. HAIL ATS ! FREEDOM AND TRUTH!

Whoever wrote that statement on the first page needs to be smacked upside their head with a history book.

A revolution is exactly what we need. Our Founding Fathers are turning in their graves at this country of divided sheep. Open your eyes people and if for some reason you're unable to step outside your box and take a view of the world then take a look at history instead. You will find crazy stuff in those books and if you where around and living in the time of the craziness you would be exactly where you are today, a disbeliever.

Yet here we are in 2008 knowing that in the past the rulers of the World have always tried to suppress the masses, always. They have been proven to lie and mislead the masses and when busted out someone resigns or in very rare cases goes to prison. Single serving people moving the machine, getting lied for if they get caught and if the lies don't prevent justice a Presidential pardon will do. History repeats itself, these are the same people we fled from Europe to get away and live free. The SAME people.

Open your eyes everyone because if you take to long to do so there may be nothing left to look at.

Violent Revolutions, Wars are worthless and pointless. It's time people wise up to this.

Only the people at the top win, they never fight the war but profit from both sides, while the little people kill each other.

People do need to wake up, but use their brains instead of their lives.

Well, violent revolutions are often quite effective but only when in response to an initial violent incursion. Of course the argument could be made that the threat of violence is how the Government operates so the first hand has already been played. I disagree, but I can understand those that take that position. At this point I would much rather gather and peacefully secede. Then whoever fires the first shot is responsible for any violence that may come of it. Live free or die.

We have long past the point of no return. Brains will get you only so far in a society that has slowly been dumbed down and misled. We are worse off than ever before and never has there been a "peaceful revolution" as you want.

What do you propose? Write your Congressman?

I get what your saying, don't think otherwise. I just don't think we can turn the tides, especially now, with no blood shed. No one is going to give ground or hand you the keys to the city without a fight. Remember what these people are capable of? I am willing to do whatever is needed for the truth to come to light. I don't want to waste my life or body unless I know it will matter, but if the time comes where it will matter I won't hesitate to do what I need to for future peace, even if it is violent in itself. They are counting on you to be civil and obedient. Remember the words of the Founders and do whatever you can to keep the truth in sight. Read EVERYTHING and go with your gut when trying to put the pieces together, the truth is in that mess somewhere. Good Luck.

Very true.

I think herein lies the problem. You can get two sides with a lot of tension that may be at the point or resolving and issue, then someone fires a shot. Who? Could be anyone of the dark operatives to get the war in full swing, then the insanity begins.

Kill some families, loved ones on both sides and you have a recipe for years of war and hatred.

I'm glad that John Adams, Joseph Warren, Ben Franklin, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson didn't agree with you.

I guess you also hadn't heard of the French Revolution. I guess all those peasants were just using those pitchforks to gather more hay for the winter.

As long as their is man on this earth there will be wars, but they are pointless.

Unless you have ever been in combat or war and seen the insanity, you have no idea what I am talking about.

Like I said if the people were wise enough to avert the war in the first place, no on would have to die. Just degrees of lose in war, no one is ever a winner.

Or that in 1789, the French should have just accepted the monarchy and feudal system?

Haven't read the other two threads yet... but moving the servers to Canada or any other country may protect the content of ATS, but if it becomes a crime to post a statement say on 9/11 and you are making it from an IP address within the US how is the POSTER protected?

Sure some are capable of hiding there IP, but most people do not have such skills. Would the threat of being arrested for 'wrongful thinking' not be a deterrent from them posting?

Just to set the record straight. first the bill passed in the house in Oct. of 2007, and is in committee in the Senate as S-1959. Sending a bill back to committee is usually a way to kill it, without a bullet.

More importantly, the House bill's sponsor, Jane Harmon, is a Democrat, and 11 of the 14 co-sponsors are DEMOCRATS, so trying to lay the blame on Bush and the GOP belies the facts.

As for the infamous alleged quote regarding the Consitution:

One of the most famous quotes allegedly showing President Bush’s real frame of mind has proven to be false, a lie from (we are told) a source that proved not to be credible. Because the source doesn’t exist.

Capitol Hill Blue’s Apology for the mistake doesn’t actually mention the quote itself. But with a hat tip to Classical Values, we now see that Capitol Hill Blue (CHB) has quite a bit to explain.

CHB simply removed the story, which used to be Article 7779 according to Google’s cache of the site. Now, as of this writing, the page has no article on it, and just the current date with the site’s motto. It will be interesting to see, if in the weeks ahead, the numerous web pages citing the bogus quote will issue their own retraction. CHB is busy excising the quote, which they used repeatedly in many of their stories, and appending a disclaimer that the article had been edited since publication. But they don’t mention in those various edits that it is the very famous “piece of paper” quote that was excised.
