What's your take on the present situation between Venezuela, Columbia & Ecuador? Is there war talk legit, or just posturing?
Is the massing of troops on the border a big deal, or just a salve to pride with no real meaning?
It is my personal view that war with things as they stand today will not happen. The ecuadorians have a right to protest, but the colombian government
has the right to defend itself. Hundreds of times the colombian government has given the ecuadorians the exact coordinates of the FARC camps in
Ecuador, and guess what?. They have never done anything about it, they either arrive three days later or they just deny that the camps are in Ecuador
in the first place.
President Uribe had two choices, the first one was to tell the ecuadorians about Reyes` camp and be mocked again, the second was to act, and thank God
this terrorist has payed.
The troop movement by Venezuela and Ecuador will finally amount to nothing, Colombia will never give an excuse to either Chavez or Correa to declare
war.
Hope I answered the question
