Top Story Russian Head slams Bush's Space Plans

Yuri Koptev, head of the Russian Space agency said that Russia could work with the US but blasted Bush on the spacecraft capable of carrying astronauts to the space station, the moon and Mars. He said that each destination has different demands and sees no fisable soulution. Also he said the they must first complete the ISS and aslo finally after a 2 year wait he want to deliver a key component the Zvezda service module and increase staff to 6 astronauts aboard the ISS also he said this a political ploy for re-election quote from Koptev "We understand that to a large extent our U.S. colleagues came up with these plans as part of a pre-election campaign," he said, adding funding was the primary barrier.
