VIENNA, Austria - Iran on Monday offered some cooperation with an International Atomic Energy Agency probe of an alleged secret uranium processing project linked by U.S. intelligence to a nuclear arms program

The Iranian pledge was contained in a memorandum reached between Iran and the IAEA and published on the agency's Web site at the request of Tehran's mission to the agency. In it, Tehran also outlined its timetable for providing other sensitive information sought by the IAEA in its probe of more than two decades of nuclear activity by the Islamic republic, most of it clandestine until revealed more than four years ago.

There, now we can get some sensitive information about Iran's nuclear
ambitions, problems are over!. . .or are they?

"In regards to recent events, the user may wish to choose 165 centrifuges as this is the number that Iran claims to have operating in its present enrichment program at the Natanz facility. It should also be noted that P-1 centrifuges can be run at 2-3 kgSWUs per year and that P-2 type centrifuges can run up to 5 kgSWUs per year."

So if Iran has had this program for about 20 years, how are we sure that
they have not already built some nuclear devices and ready to deploy?
I mean it only takes about 35 pounds of Uranium to make a working nuclear
bomb. Iran has claimed it is using about 165 centrifuges, we will say about
2 yearly Separative Work Unit capacity, and about 1 centrifuges are being added per day. It will take approximately 1791 days ( 4.91 years) to obtain 50 kilograms of highly-enriched Uranium (90% U235).

Now I am not a math genius or anything but wouldn't they have had more
then enough time to build multi nuclear devices?

Can anyone else remember the last time the inspector's were sent in? A little over a month and a half later they were kicked out and we started to bomb the hell out of the place. Ah history repeating itself.

If you step back and look over the past couple years... it would be plain to see that Iran has allowed IAEA in one week, refused them the next, allowed them in that week, refused them the next... allowed them in the following week, refused them the next...

The nuclear merry-go-round is giving me a headache.

ok equinox99 dont think so they are builiding a bomb just take what ever bush says and beleave it typical.

No I do not take anything Bush says for consideration, at all.
But if I seen Bush threatening let's say Mexico to wipe it out from the face
of the Earth, I am sure everyone would be all over it like white on rice.
So if someone threatens it's fellow nations around it's home then you must
consider this threat serious.
You do not want to hear about something along the lines of the same bomb
dropped on Hiroshima to be dropped on a country like Israel, or Italy.
That is all I am saying, Iran could have nukes and they obtained the
technology in an illegal way.
