So, it seems the Judiciary committee has come up with a new
tactic in dealing with the White House's non-cooperation in the investigation of the firing of several US Attorneys and the Terrorist Survellance Program fun by the NSA: Threaten to change the law that covers the program and put the ball back in Bush's court by demanding all documentation, analysis, etc regarding the data mining of international and possibly domestic phone and internet communications that were collected during the course of the programs operation period, which is still ongoing, or face the possibility of the law being changed in ways that hamstring their ability to carry out the program legally.

If the White House and Justice Department refuse to deliver the requested information they risk the wrath of Congress, including their allies on the Republican side of the aisle. I for one am going to be very interested in the response that the White House comes up with.
