China to Zap Rain Clouds With Rockets

BEIJING (Reuters) - China will fire rockets into the sky to scatter any rain clouds ahead of next year's Beijing Olympics to ensure perfect weather, state media said on Tuesday.

China has already guaranteed perfect weather for the August 2008 Games, but until now had not said how it would make sure its forecast comes true.

'Cloudseeding' and other such so called techniques are'nt really science, and I honestly
expect the weather to get bad half way through the games.

PRChina is only trying to make itself look good by pulling something that is for all intent
and purpose faux science.

More than 100 staff at 21 stations surrounding the city will have 10 minutes’ notice to fire rockets or cannons containing silver iodide at approaching clouds in the hope of making them rain before they reach the stadium.
