Colorado bill would let gay couples adopt

Same-sex partners and other unmarried couples would be able to adopt children together under a bill being considered by Colorado lawmakers.

The measure (House Bill 1330), released Tuesday, is sponsored by Democrats Alice Madden of Boulder, who is house majority leader, and Sen. Jennifer Veiga of Denver.

I suppose two parents are better than one. Although I also feel that this bill is going to give more validity to homosexuals and therefore it will draw a little heat from the right. It seems that "gay issues" are on the table and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I hope it passes. Not allowing gay couples to adopt is equivalent to not letting a black couple adopt a white baby. It's ridiculous, and needs to be fixed now.

I would rather orphans go to a couple than stay in an orphanage or a foster home. I don't see why religion should play a part in this.
