If you ignore the title, joke graphic, byline and tongue-in-cheek tone of the article, it raises a valid point.

Say there are microbes? Say they are dangerous to us, a sample is brought back and -- as always seems to happen with dangerous materials -- some get out, are stolen or are lost.

What defence do we have against something that might not have ever been exposed to earth's conditions? Nice warm climates (in some areas), moist air, gentle breezes that carry germs a long way... you get what I am trying to say.

Anyone worried?
