Falluja bomb attack kills five

Tuesday October 28, 2003

Four civilians and a suspected suicide bomber were today reported killed in Iraq as aid agencies and non-governmental organisations considered their future in the country.

The five died when a small car driven by one man - thought to be the bomber - exploded 100 metres from the main police station in the town of Falluja, 40 miles west of Baghdad, the Reuters news agency reported.

The attack comes one day after a strike on the Iraqi headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and three Baghdad police stations that killed 35 people and wounded 244 others within an hour, in the city's bloodiest day since it fell to US forces in April.

It brings the death toll from bomb attacks since yesterday morning to 40 people. The dead include eight Iraqi policemen, at least 30 Iraqi civilians and a US soldier.

Just another spin in a series of downward spirals, i wonder if we'll ever actually have peace in iraq.

Trying to convince the average Iraqi to not become a part of the new 'Iraq.'

Saddam, the Saudi's, communists and socialists and possibly even Europeans must be behind this.

I see that France in particular is still not accepting of the US influence in Iraq. Could they be the masterminds behind this.

I'll tell you when there will be peace in Iraq.

When the US gets the F**k out of there and leaves those people alone. That's when.

NUKE EM?? Are you crazy? Why? We shouldn't have gone into Iraq in the first place and now we are stuck in this mess. Leave those people in the middle east alone.

it was the U.S in the first place striding over claiming it was able to put an end to iraq-related problems....

nuking them would certainly hush things up in the middle east ai?

Nuking em isnt the answer just let the Iraqis sort it out themselves seeing as they want the US and British forces off their soil.

reasonable.....real smart.
if they do that, that would render their promise "to end saddam's regime" useless.
they should've thought of that before jumping into the fight.
it's too late for that...they'll be sticking around there till possibly the next target(definitely iran, or syria....could be yemen tho
)

Saddams regime has gone already nearly the Iraqi people are more confident now, and if Saddam did come back into power the Iraqi people will again feel the wraith of the west.

am i right in percieving that....you're suggesting america does this everytime saddam regains power? you know....i think there's a little more than soldier "morale" at stake here

Bush is on a rampage, no joke...this guy means business, chances r...whoever he's listening to, has lost his/her mind, no1 in their right minds would take on the east like what he's going about.
some1's bound to protest...in my humble oppinion i think it wont be the EU for once, they'll be waiting till the fight's over, then they'll jump in to finish off whats left

the same goes for the U.S.S.R...they r d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y in no state to wage a war.

i was being sarcastic, if u read carefully i hinted at the soldiers' morale "lacking", and if bush was to have this war on a regular basis(as u so kindly pointed out), then he would simply be thrust out.
that's why, my next line was something like iran's next'
